Just because you also live in Australia, doesn't mean it didn't happen. I've seen this all over my social media, unfortunately.

Gagaloo911 12,959
Lock her up!! Jk we don't know all the facts of this case, and there could very well be other reasons for why she's being handcuffed. We shouldn't all just run to assumptions and take the headlines word for it. That's what makes clickbait so problematic. We should wait for ALL the facts to come out before drawing conclusions here.

HeavyMetalLover 16
Here’s a news article for more context: https://www.newsweek.com/pregnant-woman-pajamas-arrested-facebook-live-allegedly-inciting-anti-lockdown-protest-1529148 I wish I could find what her FB post contained. I feel like some specifics are being left out of this story. Edit: Found it. And it seems that Victoria is the strictest state in Australia in terms of lockdown rules. They arrested her under a new law of “incitement” made specifically for lockdown. i don't remember ARTPOP
Supersonic 49,376
Good. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consquences. In a statement, Victoria Police said it was taking action as part of an ongoing investigation into the planning and encouragement of protest activity in Ballarat." Any gathering of this nature is in blatant breach of the Chief Health Officer's directions and puts Victorian lives at risk," police said. "Those still thinking of attending the protest … can expect a swift and firm response from police. We will have no hesitation in issuing $1,652 fines to anyone who is breaching the restrictions on the day, or making arrests if necessary." Congrats to the police for arresting this threat to humanity!

Why do I feel like there's more to this than the video shows? It's always like that. Stuff goes viral by only showing the most dramatic moment then u find out there was more context to it and ppl judged the whole situation very quickly without all the facts Perhaps the severity of her post was worse than the small bit u hear them referencing to here. Perhaps for the search warrant they have had evidences of past or other ongoing potential problems The point is there could be more to this than were seeing for her to be arrested and searched and devices taken. If this really is all there is to it tho then
