If the VMAs just allowed Gaga to do what she wants on 2013 performance, it could probably be come in 2nd.

2013 - The intro was phenomenal and gives me chills. One of those theatrical things no other pop artist could pull off. The dancing was so energetic and the outfit changes were so cool. The more I watch the more I appreciate. There’s a certain energy of the ARTPOP era that just captures me.

2020 - Below 2013 because it doesn’t have that shock moment, but opening with Chromatica II to 911 was awesome and cinematic. Rain on Me was great just by virtue of her having another collaborator perform and being iconic for that and they both sounded great. SL Piano was a great touch and showcased her vocals and talents on the instrument, and SL as a whole added so much to the song. Also amazing stage design, best of the bunch

2009 - Of course it’s ****ing iconic, but that’s mainly from the piano part to the end. Paparazzi isn’t one of my favorite songs by her so that’s also why it’s lower.

Those top three are all iconic

2011 I haven’t watched in years, and I’m assuming there’s a reason. Not to say it’s bad, but I don’t remember anything of it.

Wet Fire

1. 2009 :firega:

2. 2020. It truly was earth shattering. Exceeded all of the expectations. An instantly classic Gaga performance.

3. 2011. I really loved the commentary on gender/sex of the 'star'. It was such a unique performance.

4. 2013. Gaga doesn't have a bad performance. It wasn't bad. It was very very good. Still, my least favourite.
