Almost?

Well... The show would still have happened without her in a deteriorated fashion so I think it's accurate enough. We don't need to be so cocky as to say the show was all exclusively Gaga :enigma:

I understand. I just don’t understand what they mean by “almost.” Lol

I'm not sure what they meant to imply either because they did praise her in the article so I don't think it was meant as shade :emma:

But it is interesting wording choice :poot:

If you read the article, they're saying the quarantine VMAs were not great, but Gaga was so good she almost saved the whole show. It's a good article with a misleading title for sure.

A lot of artists brought their A game that night and did well though. This has been the best VMAs since 2013 so I don't know why the GP hated it.

“Stupid Love.” At first, she was alone, balladically, sitting at a piano in the form of a giant brain. (If you didn’t watch the show, you’ll swear we’re making this up.)

Then it was time for the full-on group choreography, edited more eye-pleasingly than in her own video for the song

We thought Apple would help her out with some payola but turns out they sabotaged her lead single. :billie:

Honestly though... it would have been much better with proper cameras like in Rain On Me :selena:

Gaga is a trooper, she saved the show as much as one could. Those who appeared brought all that they could summon, with how low emotions are in the world, at this moment. I am happy that MTV went on with the show and didn't cancel, they are the only ones to try to pull through. It was a fun night. I really enjoyed everything Gaga that we got and The Weeknd's performance. It felt like a good TRY. We needed it.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
