I was in the right side of history after all. ======== OT: the first one because that was the only one I watch. You basically gave your money to mormon propaganda and feel like you were on the right side of history? Alrighty Not hating, I was a Twilight fan too. But c'mon. LastNight 5,935
Prisoner of Azkaban is absolutely the best to me. 1 and 2 are great too, but the later ones lost all the charm of the first few. From 5 onwards I don’t think they’re that great. The casting was basically flawless, but the acting feels so empty sometimes and I have major issues with the pace and editing; it just feels so sparse in places. 5 is the worst I think and they did some really weird stuff in 6, like overdoing the Ron/Hermione relationship and that stupid scene where the Weasley house gets burnt down (wtf was that?!) Also, the characterisation of Dumbledore in the later films is just totally different to the books (they made him so angry for some weird reason), and I’ll never forgive them for that ridiculous final fight between Harry and Voldemort in the last movie. I loved them as a kid but now I think they could be way better. Good for a comfort re-watch though and admittedly it must have been really difficult to condense the stories into individual films. I think a Netflix series with a season per book would be incredible, the story lends itself to that format way better and you could cover all the little details they had to leave out of the movies. Doubt that will ever happen though, especially with the mess JK is spewing these days.

darkgaga 5,277
Goblet of Fire for sure. Cant remember how well or not it adapts the books but I get chills everytime still when Voldemort is reborn. Ralph Fiennes did such an awesome job bringing the Dark Lord to the screen. Just how he acts. He is pure evil in living form!

I in theaters I know it's one of the most critically acclaimed film of the series, but Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 is probably my least favorite... I won't get into specifics if you haven't seen it, but just like the rest of the latest movies, it just feels rushed, uninspired at times, and splitting the book in 2 movies didn't necessarily help. Most of the major plot points happened in Pt. 1, so Pt. 2 feels very bland as a whole.
Reginald 13,841
The Prisoner of Azkaban No matter how you feel about the plot choices compared to the novel, POA is a an excellent film and the strongest in the series. Every time I watch it I cry a little- it's so melancholy and suspenseful. Something I find that really adds to that character is John Williams' score (Sidenote: this movie is also my favorite John Williams score out of his whole career, and the last Potter movie he composed for). Mischief Managed, linked below, is the end credits summation of the score's highlights. PLEEEEASE give it a listen if you're into classical, or film scores I lowkey have always had mixed emotions about all of the films that follow this one. Prisoner of Azkaban's director, Alfonso Cuarón, never came back to direct another Potter movie. He would have turned the movie series into something that better respected the emotional impact, and character development, of the books. I need a tissue lol
River 117,124
I hate them all but PoA is the best among the worst. I wish Disney got the rights to the franchise and not WB So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

As she has been ridiculed by our society for ages, meaning she’s a lol-cow and anything coming out of her will never be taken seriously by the mass. Can’t say the same thing for miss JK tho.
