Have you heard the demo?? She wrote that whole cute song in like 5min and I love how raw and fun it is. Perfect live ending with all of the places she's toured :legend:definitely made me cry at the end of the final artRAVE 😭

Love Applause but Gypsy released as a first single would smash harder, even more then Roar :trollga:

its an anthem, and its GP friendly

I remember my friends who listened  to the album said that Gypsy is the highlight of the album (while disliking most of other songs:billie:

It’s unrelatable, it’s corny, it’s cheesy, it’s loud, it’s all over the place. And for some, it’s offensive. It falls in the same category as Hair in terms of cringe.

Because it's a cute, feel-good ANTHEM that goes OFF and just makes you feel bubbly and happy inside when you hear it.

Literally how could you not like it, unless you're a stick in the mud who doesn't enjoy having fun or feeling good

Jokes aside, Gypsy is the best song on the album, its production is flawless, its lyrics are cute and the vocals are breathtaking. What is not to love?

Mte.  The song is clearly one of Gaga's personal favorites.  Not to mention her performances of Gypsy are amazing, and Gaga beams with happiness when she performs it.  The song is great performed slow or fast.  My favorite video:

I should add an acoustic version:

It's got one of my favorite melodies from her ever. It's so warm yet not incredibly cheesy and juvenile. I also really love the Elton Johnesque songwriting of it (altho the stutter lines are very Gaga and not Elton). I do prefer the songwriting on the demo version but they don't flow smoothly with the melody. It's one of my favorite tracks from ARTPOP. I just love the exhilarating feeling it gives me.

Simple. It’s because this fan base always picks one song each era to overhype and usually it’s the lamest song. In this era it’s Reply. :flop:

Replay is lame? :triggered:

Sneaky Oliver

I used to like it but now I rarely listen to it :crossed: but it’s an amazing song, no one can deny that even though I agree it’s a bit overproduced

Um. It is Universal. Duh.

I know people who don't even like Gaga that like Gypsy, honestly.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

WORLDofGAGA

I love how it starts slow and explodes, it’s such a fun happy song, makes you want to dance and her voice is perfection on this song for me. One of my top Gaga songs :woohoo:

For me there's two lines that get me:

The massive belts "BUT I CAN BE... TONIIIIIIIGHT" I live.

And then "someday in Jakarta" makes me go :fatcat:

Good question, never understood it either :billie:  its like a Disney song dipped in mozzarella, with added gouda and cheddar cheese. Its pretty cringey. Some good vocal moments, but the lyrics and the over production are just wayyy too much
