macca 1,318
This makes me think 1. I miss DWYW 2. GO The Cure you good thing! What a BOP. I was obsessed with this song 3. Stupid Love deserved better 4. Alejandro was the wrong single choice. Should’ve been DITD 5. Joanne the album and all its songs are bad.
Mr S 8,672
The graph started out so well but the second half was disappointing. However, Shallow was Interesting. While it deserved domination, it was stable for a while despite not sounding like anything else
ThisGuyTony 30,218
The lack of singles for extended periods of time was the saddest part for me tbh.
JazzGa 14,620
The silence when DWUW is tracking My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <
Mr S 8,672
Also Bad Romance seemed kind of small at least compared to Pokerface. I guess they released too many singles in quick succession during that time?

Yeah it seems like both Telephone and Alejandro could have been released just a bit later. he/him/his

Therefor we should stop judging songs/artists based on popularity
Mr S 8,672
Applause was very stable. ARTPOP is a frontloaded era in that fans bought it but the GP said no, yet the lead single did not perform that way at all. I have to say again I really love Shallow's run. Even though it didn't dominated in the US like it did elsewhere, it never died. It remained in the upper part of the chart in a sea of generic trendy hip hop songs. Context matters, and in this context it was an impressive smash. I also wonder if that was the real reason why ARUTW didn't get released, because Shallow just wouldn't die. Judas was such a misfire. It makes me wonder if it didn't tank so much, would TEOG even be released? It was the safest GP friendly song on the album and it seems like it was rush released to cover up the damage that Judas caused.

The most interesting thing about Judas for me is that in its fourth week it rose from 20 to 19. It really makes you wonder if Judas was about to have a chance. he/him/his
