Politics is 100% a reason for an "abrupt break up," especially in the times we're living in right now. I'm sorry, but maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I never understood the "Oh, let's just all hold hands and sing kumbaya" BS when politics are literally the foundation of who people are. I can interact with someone who has different political ideologies than me, but I can never be friends with them.

For example, when you disagree on fundamental issues such as civil rights, then there's no longer room for conversation or "comrpromise". If you can't see that something as simple as "Black Lives Matter" matter, or if you can't see LGBTQ+ as equal, or if you don't understand that a woman has the right to decide what she wants to do with her own body, then there's something legitimately wrong with you IMO.

These are simple things and they're all things everyone should be on board with. Also, so what if she's her mom? Blood sometimes isn't thicker than water. Just because she's family doesn't give her an excuse to have shitty political leanings.
