Christans and muslims share the old testament so Asriel exists in both religions and Israfil is another name for Raphaël. So I don't see the problem, christians are used to see their religion in movies, fashion, music...

Muslims dont believe in the old or new testament. Asriel is only mentioned in the Qurana and islam.

I’m pretty sure he’s somewhere in the Bible, within the Hebrew tribes. In the Old Testament.

Pretty sure? Israfil is only in Islam. Asriel is in Judaism and Islam.

I’m sure. I’ve read the Bible. The Old Testament itself is based on Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible. So if it exists in Judaism, it definitely exists in Christianity.

They consider old testament as a saint book, and they use and comment some parts to justify their thoughts

You’re the one who should use Google, or better read beyond whatever it is that you know.

It is a generally accepted fact that similar characters do appear between Abrahamic religions. I’ve Googled it just now, Asriel appears in Numbers 26:31, Joshua 17:2 and 1 Chronicles 7:14 on the Christian Bible. IDK if you’re trolling but please stop invalidating other people just because you’re limited by what you know.

The link you gave does not claim what you are saying..

We view the religion of Christianity and Judaism as holy religions, but they are invalid today because we believe their books and religion have been corrupted by time. We dont use the old or new testament to justify our beliefs.

OK then thats my mistake, I meant the other angel. I did try to clarify that I meant Israfil though. Anyway lets move on..

My argument is Kanye did use a islamic angel or whatever to name his shoes.

Personally I dont care as a Muslim let him do it

I think the reason people get offended by it is not so much because of the name, but rather his intention for using it. It's pretty obvious that he wanted to use a controversial name to get free publicity.
