I was of course talking about nowadays music industry, not 2013

We may get surprises but it's quite easy to see most artists are a re-releasing their albums more and more to get new music treatment on radio.

Seems like there's an awful number of exceptions to your statement.... I guess the safest thing to say is: there are no rules, quite frankly. Look at Lizzo who went #1 with a song that was released 2 years prior.

More on topic: I don't think Babylon would be the type of song that would connect massively well with the general public. It could be a niche hit amongst LGBTQ audience (it low-key already is), but I can't imagine it reaching mainstream recognition. Then again, you never know.

Saying a song wouldn't do well on the charts for various reasons isn't trashing a track or an artist... Don't go on Twitter if you have such a low tolerance threshold.
