I expected a dance pop album with great lyrics 

I didn't expect the 90's house but I knew it wasn't gonna be "basic" dance pop 

I was not disappointed the album is fantastic

Yes and no, I was expecting more warrior/battle references. Free Woman’s demo was perfect, but the studio version sucks imo. Or when they said there would be animal noises in Babylon.. I was expecting a jungle during the bridge.

I didn’t have any expectations but the album is pretty fantastic with the exception of about 3 or 4 songs. Overall i like it a lot. I do wish, though, Gaga would go back to some of her more dark music, as I think it fits her better.

it is "pixel sorted" but manually cause i didn't know how to do that 

i used a bad magic brush and cut half of it off, then reversed it and motion blurred the other half

I can hear it on Enigma and a little *early* house on Babylon. But the biggest difference between the demos and final album versions we have are that the demos were *much* more house-influenced. Rain on Me demo is a straight Chicago house beat and Free Woman is pretty standard house as well.

Agreed. It almost feels like the original demos were the intention, and then last minute majority of the songs just went through a BloodPop filter.

Agreed except for Replay. I actually think that one retained its house bones pretty well (compared to other songs) but that's probably because BURNS made the beat and said it was the last song they did so they didn't have ample time to sit with it and tinker.

I was def expecting something more experimental like everyone else, but once ROM dropped and that playlist BURNS & Bloodpop made with Gaga for Spotify, I shifted my expectations to more of a house/disco feel and honestly I couldn't be more happy with what we got.

I adore house music and grew up with it, this album fulfilled any and all dreams I had of Gaga fully diving into the house style. 

bare minimum - I was expecting dance bangers, and we got 13 dance bangers so I'm v happy

I knew what we were in for with Stupid Love lmao I like it, it isn't anything new. But it's good and I listen to it often. She has some solid hooks there. I think musically the production is underwhelming, though. I don't have a hankering to listen to the instrumentals and the ones I have heard are just eh. They don't top BTW or AP's beats imo which are immaculately detailed.

right?! its why i like some of the demos better, it stayed true to the dance pop house beats we were told was the album influenced.

i love chromatica and its battling joanne for my favorite lg album spot but i can't help but feel like there was some hesitation with putting out the demo instrumentals as finals so they changed. biggest disappointment and change we know about was free woman and tbh i miss the og, the new one while good, is a generic pop instrumental with good lyrics and even better vocals

I just think the album is awesome, but never quite reaches the heights that I was expecting. And that's my fault for listening to the demos, I guess, but hearing the HLs version of Babylon, I was expecting more stuff like that and 911. 

I enjoy the final product, definitely, but I do think the more risks should have been taken. I really really wish it was more in style with the playlist she posted.

yes, but not completely. I was thinking of a more hardcore deep house vibes with a bit more funk. When I first heard that it will be inspired by 90s house, I was thinking more towards Acid House., more trance-ish vibes or in the line of Crystal Waters' 100% pure love.
