Some people are also speculating that the second explosion was caused by the fireworks igniting some kind of fertilizer or chemical that was stored as well. I hope that whoever recorded this is okay. @LVbuttondown @QueenOfSaigon @alsemanche 3 hours ago, StarstruckIllusion said: It looks like a huge shipment of Fireworks went off, and some of them maybe exploded a tank of gas?? No fireworks on their own could do that much damage These videos are literally horrific.. The way you can see the shock wave rolling towards the cameras is so scary.. The aftermath videos are eerily reminiscent of the videos one might find relating to 9/

auburn 1,072
I have no idea how much Lebanon can take at this point. This country is barely getting by and for such a huge tragedy to happen is detrimental. As for the fireworks, the claim has changed. They believe the container had 2700 tons of Ammonium nitrate. The shipment has been there since 2014, and due to state corruption, it stayed there. Until today. There was an initial small explosion which lead to a huge fire, and then the main explosion you see in the videos happened. There are sk many videos because people were already shooting the fire. So many people lost their houses, and had immense damage. I had a panic attack and broke down several times. Mentally, I do not have the capacity to process this in addition to all the other issues in the country. This place is hell on earth.

Things are really bad. 😔 I heard many nations are helping but this is a huge problem now. The infrastructure of the the city is all shaken up. I feel like this is just the begining. More buildings will probably crumble from the aftermath. Lebanon barely recovered their infrastructure from the civil war that happened and then now they have this big issue along with their inflation problems...I feel so bad for them. They were one of the more stable nations in the region but everything is just piling up now... I hope Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Israel can help in the rebuilding process because that is what will be most problematic once everything is contained.
