Black is King is the name of the movie, and The Lion King: The Gift (deluxe edition) is the album.

I know it. What I'm saying is why she used Lion King's soundtrack for Black is King. It has nothing to do with movie :messga:

Right? Couldn’t they just  have released a new album called Black is King? It’s confusing otherwise. I thought we were getting Lemonade but really we got stale water.

the same
the soundtrack wasn't even that successful to devote the whole separate movie :bear:

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No

Self titled remains unbothered. I love it so much, nothing compares to it

sometimes I really wonder if some of you know a small little website called Google that you can use to look things up instead of throwing around shady comments thinking you're oh so smart. It's really not a difficult concept or anything.

Yeah but it’s still an unusual concept.
it’d be like Gaga filming a new movie/series of music videos for all the ASIB songs + a few new deluxe ones that weren’t in the movie.... my hype has gone from 100 to like 40

As a BeyHive member, I agree self-titled remain superior.

The Gift isn't a soundtrack to The Lion King, the only song played on the movie was Spirit. The Gift is a celebration o African culture in partnership with Disney and the Lion King movie.

It's not about being successful, it's about celebrating the African continent.

don't wonder - here is the answer - people don't care enough to check stuff like that, that's why we have forums like this to discuss stuff... and yes the idea of the album / soundtrack / movie / whatever is confusing, cuz we had that album last year, but we got video / movie / re-release for it this year...

A few of the collaborations I’m interested to hear, RAYE and 070 Shake (you should really check out her debut album Modus Vivendi!)

What’s wrong with some of the users on here constantly coming into Beyonce threads to tear her work down.

So I’m listening to The Gift, which I didn’t before because soundtracks generally don’t interest me and I didn’t know it was this serious of a project to her. Wow, it’s really good. I’m a Beyoncé fan but I wasn’t expecting a soundtrack to be some of her best.
