The production values, the two of them trying to sing it together, etc. It's not like they can perform it together in an appropriate setting with all the right sound people. It would just turn out to be mostly lip-synching or awkward as h*ll...kind of like how Meg has these bomb as* looking performances but she's clearly lip synching most of it. Actually, all of the Chromatica tracks might be kind of weird in a scaled down taped performance (I doubt they can do "normal" taped performances due to COVID-19) due to the production unless she does the piano version of 1000 Doves. Except the VMAs are actually being held in a venue. It’s going to be a real event, just with no audience. I think she’ll perform.

I said that many people bitch and complain that sh1t isn't happening or that Gaga & her team has forgotten about us, forgotten about the album, etc. People think that she doesn't want to do anything or doesn't have anything planned, yet this isn't the truth cause look at the news we got here. Gaga obviously intends on promoting this album. This is just another inconvenience. My point that I am trying to make is that I think its funny how so many people think that Gaga isn't going to do anything, yet she obviously is trying to. But then why not make online performances, why not do a Q&A on Instagram live, why not do the listening party that she originally planned to do? Again, I support ALL the decisions that Gaga decides to do, but I think it’s a little strange that they planned something like a live, physical performance before doing something online. That just doesn’t make any sense to me. Gaga obviously isn’t lazy and she obviously cares very deeply about Chromatica, but these are simple things that her and her team are missing, IMO. Other artists have adapted and have promoted their own material along with COVID-19 stuff and BLM. I just don’t understand why when we talk about Gaga it’s, “Oh my god y’all are bitching about her. Just shut the **** up.” Like, no, these are legitimate concerns people have. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

I am happy with the album. Chromatica’s either my favorite or my second favorite album depending on how I’m feeling. That said, to brush away legitimate concerns is, to me, a lazy way of thinking and a poor defense. I’m not hating on Gaga. Like I said, I will ultimately respect whatever decision she makes in regards to the promotion of Chromatica, but I’m just concerned about what she’ll do for this album going forward. That’s it. Don’t get so overly defensive because I’m making some constructive criticisms. If I were someone that was bad mouthing Gaga all the time, then fine, but I’m not. I, like other people here, just want this era to be the best that it can. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

I don't care if it's just Rain On Me, or a medley of all the songs on the album. He/him/his
LastNight 5,933
IF this is true, it’s sad that it couldn’t go ahead but the silver lining is that it means she’s happy to start promo again. So maybe more things will start happening now?

And it'll be up on YT off a cellphone the next day, so we would've def got to see it too. It would have been awesome!!! If this worked out, it could plausibly be replicated for some type of mini-tour but their safety concerns are completely valid. If Hamptons people effed up at a Chainsmokers event, there is NO WAY a field of cooped up gays were gonna stay in one spot with Gaga and Ariana in their presence. NO WAY! I get what your saying about the simple stuff but sometimes the simple stuff just isn't fulfilling or meaningful -- for her, for us, artistically, emotionally, etc. -- and other options are being explored. I think we're past the point of a basic listening party but I could see an excuse for something similar, like a fund-rager, for a Labor Day event. And you know Q & As would devolve into a hot hot mess. Why would she do that to herself? The trolls and hate stans are working 24/7 these days. If people can't be trusted to be decent during Sarah's small HausCalls, why would Gaga subject herself to the 100s that would show up just to say something side ways to her live? Every artist is different and this is unprecedented times. Gaga and her team are obviously working hard, looking for creative and purposeful ways to connect with us. That's all we can hope for really. "She's an intellectual, your honor"
