This one really does get to me : Baby really hurt me Crying in the taxi He don't wanna know me Says he made the big mistake of dancing in my storm Says it was poison So I guess I'll go home Into the arms of the girl that I love The only love I haven't screwed up She's so hard to please But she's a forest fire I do my best to meet her demands Play at romance, we slow dance In the living room, but all that a stranger would see Is one girl swaying alone Stroking her cheek Also: Please could you be tender and I will sit close to you Let's give it a minute before we admit that we're through Guess this is the winter Our bodies are young and blue I'm at Jungle City, it's late and this song is for you 'Cause I remember the rush, when forever was us Before all of the winds of regret and mistrust Now we sit in your car and our love is a ghost Well, I guess I should go Yeah, I guess I should go Ugh yes that song, and the organ swells. It’s everything. i don't remember ARTPOP

Lona Delery 7,216
i mean theyre both excellent lyricists but i prefer Lana's worldbuilding Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride
MonsterPaws 2,740
This is too hard. I had to pick Lana, but Taylor is an incredible lyricist.
Xoxo Adriana 15,040
not a fan of lana but i’ll have to easily give it to lana, she deserves that title. taylor is also a good lyricist, i would say taylor is queen of consistency. she knows + delivers what the fans want. Quartz 12,575
If I want to feel things, I´ll go for Lana´s lyrics. If I want a story, Taylor´s lyrics are great. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
ChromaticRaccoon 1,761
Lana is one of the best lyricists of this generation. Taylor's great when it comes to writing a story. But being able to tell that story, is what puts Lana miles above Taylor. Lana (among others such as Lorde, Marina and Melanie) are some of the most poetic artists ever, and it's a crime they're so underrated
