Why Are Gaga's Singles Randomly Chosen?

RRR

Featured Posts

Gaga is an artiste, and plans her eras and stuff... supposedly. :saladga: I mean, look at Born This Way. Years of waiting and hype and suddenly, Judas is released and IMMEDIATELY dropped for Edge of Boring. I mean, I get it was supposed to be a promo single that took off so they rush-released, but DAYUM!!! It really messed up the artistic integrity of the single selections, didn't it? :interestinga:

Then we got Do What U Want, same exact situation. :interestinga: Venus was all set for the second single, with Gaga promoting it and making statements that it was the 2nd single, and then Do What U Want (ft. CENSORED) was released... (We don't have to discuss whether or not it was a good song, this is artistic integrity we're talking about here...)

Then we got Million Reasons... Same exact situation :interestinga: A-Yo was all set and she was even performing it. And then we get Million Reasons.

So really, for most of her album cycles, the second single was randomly chosen, and all plans went totally out the window in favor of a promo single gone wild. :interestinga:

How do you feel about this? :saladga:

They're not randomly chosen at all. They are largely chosen based on what's expected to be a hit.

Edge of Boring? Jenny pls

But Gaga has a vision for her albums and the fact that everything changes at the drop of a dime really makes it appear like her vision is not even being put forth :saladga:

Her vision is in the album itself, the single releases are mostly for the charts and success. TEOG was a promo single which became more successful than Judas so they went with that instead.
