Makes total sense to cancel the Republican Convention but open the schools. Absolutely genius decision by the smartest man, who aced his cognitive test by the way, in the USA. :applause:

The last 5 questions were SO HARD!

Sending kids back to school during the peak of the pandemic is obviously going to backfire and spread the virus further.

The President, after months mocking mask wearing and social distancing guidelines, trawled for credit and claimed he was setting an "example" after deciding to cancel Republican convention events in Covid-battered Florida.

Good JOB coming from the man who aced a dementia test. Way TO GO :triggered: The US is in good shape? Not even close to that. Then again, you can't reason with those same people who wanna force kids back in schools only for them to get Corona. We need to get those corrupt idiots out fast.

He may not "agree with us", but if the kids get the Coronavirus, and bring it back to their families, you can bet he'll change his tune quick. :trollga:

As a politician he actually is doing all the wrong things. I doubt that anyone recommended to him to say those things.

They worked in 2016, but wont work this time around. People need something else and it looks like he doesnt have it.

By the time schools starts to open, they will be pushed back. Those that do open will get closed as the year progresses, especially schools all across the Sunbelt.

Unless schools get a massive amount of direction, support and funding, they won’t be able to stay open because their aren’t enough National guidelines and resources.

It’s like having a massive hurricane or flood in an area. The community can shelter and even survive for a short amount of time. Then, they need the National government to come in and organize and distribute supplies.

State and local education systems are facing a natural disaster and don’t have reliable National guidance or resources.

Probably most schools will reopen now that CDC says it, but there will be very big differences from state to state.

He doesn't care. If opening school establishes normalcy for long enough, at least up to the election, then he can claim "victory" over the virus. After the election, he doesn't give a scheiße who dies.

Schools are already pushing the start date and moving to online learning, especially in hot spot areas. Every school system is going to be making individual decisions and adjustments, as the National Response is not reliable.

In essence, it’s a sh*tshow. That’s why our numbers and hospitalizations have increased so much. We desperately need long term reliable National guidance, organization, resources and funding.
