White St. Louis couple who pointed guns at protestors charged with felony

They opened the unlocked gate and walked on the sidewalk.

The other people out in the neighborhood cheered for them as they went by. This was not an angry mob banging down gates...that is BS you are getting from right wing sources.

Lol are you kidding me? They were not banging outside the gates, the video of them pointing the guns shows only 4 people shouting at them from a distance which they only started doing AFTER guns were drawn. People were walking past their home on the way to somewhere else, this does not give them the right to point guns at people. No attention was paid to their home until they drew attention to it.

Even if you are in support of gun ownership and the right to defend your home by deadly force, I'm not sure how you can accept that people simply walking past your home (even if you think its a mob) without paying attention to it warrants you to aim a gun into that crowd, I'd be less interested in it if guns were holstered/visible, but they were in-hand and pointed, the woman even had her finger on the trigger. This is not reasonable defence of their home, it was a massive overreaction and honestly showboating on their part. Hire a security guard if you're so worried about trespassers.

Actually, the protestors broke into a gated community & then were trespassing not only on the gated community but on that couples property. They can legally pull out a gun on their own property if someone is trespassing. Not saying it’s morally right but legally speaking yes, they can do that. Just another reason to get rid of guns.

It’s a gated community, the protestors were illegally trespassing which they then went up to the couples home & trespassed. Like I said above, legally speaking they had every right to pull out their guns & protect their property/community. No, it is not right that they have that ability but legally they do, anyone does. Use your frustration to fight against people having guns rather than arguing on a forum about whether they have the right to or not because they do & we can’t change it but we can fight against people having guns & that should be our main objective. Other countries don’t allow guns, Australia, the UK & they’re succeeding at it. Perspective.

Actually, it is not a gated community. The sidewalk and street is open to pedestrians/bikes, cars that don’t live in that neighborhood. 

I lived close to here in the past and have walked through that neighborhood many times.

Actually no, it’s not open to everyone. It was a private street on private property. I suggest reading up on the history of private streets in St Louis before talking about stuff you clearly don’t know with the defense “I lIvEd NeAr ThErE oNcE.” It’s private property, they were trespassing. Simple as that. Do I believe in this? No, I strongly oppose any type of gun violence or gun carrying but legally speaking, as I said before, they were within their rights.
