I haven't try the products yet so I can't say anything about it, but I agree that the packaging is too basic for Gaga. The Fame perfume looked very good, I liked the bottle and fact that liquid was back. And the promo was insane. I expected the same energy for Haus Labs TBH. Beautiful packagings inspired in her albums, more variety... I understand that making these kind of things could be very expensive but come on! She is very rich :ladyhaha:. Anyways if Gaga and Sarah want a simple image for the brand I'm ok with that. But there are hundreds of brands so If I'm gonna buy something I would like to see something more original or different.

It’s hilarious how the biggest cash grab of her career (which was her perfume) never gets any flak from y’all, but Haus Labs is getting negative threads made about it every month. And it’s been out for over a year now. Lord get over it already :fail:

The packaging? -- Looks fine, I like it.

The brand feeling medicore and nothing innovative? -- I somewhat agree. I think in general, they definitely need more products, but I think the products that they do have are good.

"You can buy better quality products for a cheaper price from other brands." -- I suppose that's true, but remember: when you're buying HL, you're not only buying it for the make-up, but you're buying it for the brand. It's the same thing as Kylie's and Rihanna's make-up lines. You're buying the make-up cause it works and looks good, but you're more so doing it because it's from a celebrity. Also, the quality of the products is fine.

"I don't understand why she's pushing this so hard." -- Maybe it's cause she's invested in the company (emotionally and financially)?? :awkney:

"Sarah probably had a say in it." -- Was that supposed to be some sort of diss at Sarah? :awkney: Of course she had some say in it. She's Gaga's make-up artist.

"The fact that she would rather promote this business that will die in the next few years over her album is shocking. 2011 Gaga would never." -- Okay. Then travel back to 2011 :huntyga: The reality is that she's promoting her own company. Just deal with it.

mmm reading that was really delicious :diane:

New day, same old topic...

The lip glosses and liners are fine, the Glam Attacks are actually pretty great, and I am not here for any dissing of the Eye-Lie-Ner, nuh-uh. I’ve tried so many felt tip liners over the years and the Haus Labs one knocks them all into submission, frankly.

That is the hill I will die on, (preferably before this thread descends into the inevitable HL promo vs Chromatica promo chaos and ends up locked...).

I tidied up my makeup collection yesterday and put all my HL items together in the cute little HL pouches and admired them all. :huntyga: I'm really proud of my collection and I use it more than any of my other makeup. The chained ballerina glam attack is really good to use on the lash line when I can't be bothered to use the eyeliner. It's probably my most used product. It's very glittery though but I love that sparkle effect.

I know that alot of fans hate HL because they see it as something that's distracting Gaga from the music. It's really not taking up that much more of her time and didn't we all live for the photoshoots and commercials? Gaga has served some amazing looks thanks to HL.

The very clever Steven Klein lilliputian print ads, and breathtaking commercial.

Sleeping in a bottle to launch the product, and the live streaming a tattoo at MOMA.

Using arrivals and fashion as performance art: traveling via horse drawn perfume bottles.

The actual product being an innovative extension of the subject matter she writes most about, the dark side of fame.

Haus Labs didn’t try to rise to this level.

Not shading anyone, but I'd be curious to do a survey and see if there is a corelation between people who make 30k or less a year and those who say the brand is too pricey.

I feel like I've personally noticed a significantly large number of people on here who are teens or college students complaining about the price.

Ugh thank you, exactly this. It’s more expensive than drugstore brands, but the price is perfectly in line or even a little lower than the higher end brands, and the quality is there to support it. Most of the people who complain about the price are probably buying cheap e.l.f. crap

I have to be honest and say that the teaser video set my expectations really high. I feel like that there's a disconnect between the initial teaser and the actual products that launched.

I'm not saying anything about the products themselves just the branding and marketing.

By good and cheap do you mean  drug store make up like Maybelline? Is that as far as your make-up knowledge is? :billie:

Cos sure as hell better and usually high end brands make ups cost more than what Haus Labs price tag is.

Example, their most favored product;

Hauslabs Eye Liner: $20

Compared to:

MAC: $22

Anastasia Beverly Hills: $26

Givenchy: $27

Dior: $30.50

YSL: $34

Chanel: $35

Armani: $36

Gucci: $37

Cle De Peau: $55

Tom Ford: $59

So where are these "better and cheaper" at?? :oprah:

100%.

I saw someone on here the other day saying they think it's so expensive and then later stated they buy their stuff from a drugstore because they don't have a lot of money.

This thread is pointless and a waste of time you should spent your time doing something more positive or usefull instead of wasting it on making a useless hauslabs hate thread

the thing is - noone needs an expensive eyeliner when cheap drugstore makeup can do the same. its pretty pointless to spend a lot of money on eyeliners or mascara, where the difference in quality is barely noticable

eyeshadow, on the other hand is where the difference is and HL is uninspired and just okay overall :noparty:

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Apparently you’ve never used good eyeliner or mascara if you think that :ladyhaha: the differences are HUGE and finding the right one is almost life changing
