i'm happy to see i'm not the only person here who can comprehend how these viruses arise. it's one of the reasons why i went vegan over a year ago. but vegan or not, this is a problem everyone should be aware of. our behaviors and treatment of animal populations is not only detrimental to them and their livelihood but poses risks to humanity. it's a slippery slope that needs to be looked into.

There are people who believe the next one is very close and it will be brought about from chickens and decimate most of america. The reason I went Vegan was this as well as I could not with good mind sit there and eat animals whilst also loving my own pet.

You can’t love animals and eat them.

An article from someone that LITERALLY WORKS ON A DAIRY FARM.

I think someone that LITERALLY WORKS ON A DAIRY FARM, and is ACTUALLY AROUND ACTUAL REAL COWS EVERY DAY knows what is going on.

Why do I even waste my time arguing with animal rights activists. ****ing hell. Next they may as well go back to telling me all zoos are evil and link me bullshit documentaries. Hell I work at one but what do I know? The documentaries are more accurate than my personal experience.

This is a joke! A person paid by the industry ofcourse will believe the lies.

you have time to listen to gaga and be her fan but not research properly. You ma’am are a joke.

Interesting article but it's very hard for me to believe the virus was all around the world since at least March 2019.. It doesn't make much sense why cases exploded only in January. You could say it was warmer during the spring and summer and the virus didn't spread but we are in the summer and cases are spreading.

i feel it would make sense though. coronavirus outbreaks have happened before - albeit not to this extent as far as i know.

it probably was floating around in small pockets and small localized outbreaks. the symptoms could have been easily mistaken for other conditions especially in people with stronger immune systems.

Gathering info from people with first person experience in an industry isn't proper research? Whatever.

Do you feel him sir?

please do research into how biased the animal agriculture industry is. this is their job. of course they're going to try to paint it all sorts of colours.

no one said zoos are evil - we're talking about zoonic viruses. you aren't even giving anyone a chance to have a discussion with you and having a meltdown. i do personally believe most zoos are not beneficial for the animals but that's another conversation.

also baby, i have friends who work on dairy farms and friends who have worked in slaughterhouses. i've seen how disgusting and abhorrent it is first hand. :huntyga: i know what goes on. one of my friends who lives in toronto got a job at a slaughterhouse because it payed well, and he f*cking hates it because of how traumatizing it is to watch these animals be slaughtered and turned into food. there is absolutely no excuse for it.

i wouldn't be surprised. i hope things begin to change soon. people need to realize global eating habits affect these things. i don't think someone is an evil terrible person for eating meat because i understand that's a part of most cultures right now - but it's something that should be examined.

and i agree with you on that. people like animals and think they're cute or whatever, but when push comes to shove they will rather pull the "well they're not the same as us" bullcrap arguments because no one wants to acknowledge their cognitive dissonance or hypocrisy.

Anyway, why do threads on GGD just go off topic to debate veganism? :oprah:

It's possible.. however it's known to be countagious and easy to spread. Transport routes were the same in 2019 and 2020 but the virus only started to spread in late 2019 and exploded ever since. To me it's weird to think it existed in isolated places when it's contagious and everybody is exposed because it's a new virus.

I think the virus was spreading in the  fall or even summer for sure though and went unnoticed. But March 2019 is a bit too early. :enigma:

Someone tried to start up an argument about veganism on Reddit when I was talking about crocodiles and I straight up told them I wasn't going to argue. I only want to argue about this one website at a time. :huntyga:
