Not tragic at all, it barely had any promotion and yet its coming for Joanne which had promotion, superbowl, a documentary, tour etc meanwhile Chromatica had to survive through Rain On Me only

Yeah, but no one apart from us will remember these justifications.

This numbers only show the impact of each era in the industry, and independently of the possible justifications, the fact is that Joanne's era had more impact than Chromatica's.

And yes, maybe in the long-run, Chromatica will end-up overtaking Joanne numbers, but the numbers itself are quite poor.

So yes, it's tragic that an era as Chromatica, which could have made a big impact in the industry, has ended up being an underperformance. And it's even more tragic when you realise that this was Gaga's big opportunity to have a big impact in dance-pop-EDM industry thanks to the ASIB boost, and she and her team have lost the opportunity.

Sorry but Joanne didn't had more impact than Chromatica overall (maybe in US but other than that just no and btw I love Joanne). Nobody will remember those numbers other than us anyway because the GP doesn't care. I think you are forgetting the fact that Gaga is not a streaming artist and she is not at that level during the streaming era where she can pull really impressive numbers without promoting her work. Chromatica could have ended up at least 2x worse if we had bad luck, ASIB has nothing to do with it and if anyone expected her to great numbers just because that era was big then it was delusional

the excuses. At best, Chromatica slightly underperformed. is that important in the long run? Maybe not. It pumped out a future club classic ROM, which I think will become bigger post-covid / roaring 20's 2.0 when this pandemic is over. Also, we love the music.

Did I said that Chromatica is a success? No, but also saying that it did tragic is delusional aswell. Could have done better but also could have done worse (but ofc nobody likes to talk about how it could have done worse). I'm not excusing anything, I just said facts
