Not Break My Heart coming for ROM on the Hot 100

Not gonna like, for awhile I thought the song was done but lately it looks to be pulling a Watermelon Sugar.

i don't mean to be rude or anything, but having ARTPOP and Joanne as a standard to compare success isn't exactly that great tho

True, but at the end of the day, neither of them were complete flops. Both had a very successful single each and were #1 albums. More than lots of girls can claim.

Our expectations are just sky high from 1) Gaga’s massive career starting peak and 2) ASIB, which is a completely different promo cycle from a regular studio album.

Chromatica didn’t light the world on fire like either of those two, but it’s first month put up some pretty great numbers. It had a #1 Single in the top 10 for a month, and right outside it for another two weeks. which is outside of Shallow, her most successful song since Applause. And that’s just in the US, it’s smashing harder in countries like the UK.

Even if it’s sad that it’s not as big as it could be, comparing it to her most recent studio albums, I don’t know how these numbers could be discouraging. It says a lot about how Gaga is still relevant, can have a successful solo album, a successful pop album, and that people will always be checking out what she’s doing next.

I get that we want her to, and that she has the potential to, but if we start expecting Gaga to own the world with everything she puts out, it’s going to lead to disappointment nearly every time. No one can do that, even her, despite her immense talent and artistry. Especially with the unprecedented time period we are in.

The album is successful and acclaimed, ROM is successful and acclaimed. The lack of promo right now is sad, and it sucks that we have to keep waiting, but the era is already far and away from completely tanking.

More like a My Oh My

Watermelon is #5 on iTunes and #6 on Spotify while Dua is out of Top 30 on both for comparison. Hope she’ll be able to snatch a Top 10 peak though.

I wonder when Apple is going to shut down iTunes for good.

I swear they actually announced they were at some point last year, but maybe it’s my imagination or misinterpretation

I've never said that Chromatica don't have the pontential or isn't doing ok on charts. I just think that we could be doing so much better in terms of chart if we had some promo.

and i didn't mean to say that ARPTOP or Joanne was a flop. they just didn't hold a standard when it comes to numbers for me personally.

I just noticed that the cutoff for Top 20 on BB200 was probably 23k-24k this week and Chromatica did 28k

Will it even match Joanne 9 weeks in the Top 20 at this rate or :toofunny:

I remember that too, that's why I asked. Nobody uses it anymore, so there's no point in keeping it alive. In fact, I think they're slowly killing it because now it doesn't even show up in the Music app on my Mac, I had to go to the settings to enable it..
