Katy's was mainly production value where it shined and obviously the left shark. You could have put any other decent performer there and it would have not affected much.

Gaga's was one woman show and she shined for every second. Probably the 3rd best SB after Prince and MJ

I'll say it again,

LG >>>>>> MJ >>>>>> Prince

Let's not fear to rank Gaga above legends, she just did it better

Just like her SB National Anthem

LG (live) >>>>> WH (lip-syncing)

Sorry not sorry

I’ll give Katy the better last performance, her being a shooting star during Firework is better to me than just dancing around flames to Bad Romance. But overall Katy’s was too cheesy, Gaga’s seemed more athletic, focused, and riskier.

I find it diabolical every time I watch it :billie:

Basically ultra-high budget elementary school production

Katy's was good, but Gaga's is legendary. I remember when she performed, my Facebook newsfeed blew up with people praising her performance, and they weren't even fans. That's the only time I've seen that happen.

Katy's show was visually pretty good but the first time I watched it I wasn't even looking at her 'cause there was so much going around her... it was all props and she didn't sound good to me at all (especially during "Dark Horse")

Gaga literally gave everything... vocals, choreo, visuals, played instruments and all by her damn self and in my opinion she's easily top 3

Lady Gaga is an artist

Katy Perry is an entertainer

you gotta admit that when it comes to entertaining Katy Perry is amazing

I personally think her production was more on point than Gaga’s, no surprise its still one of the most memorable shows for the GP, but of course I will always prefer Gaga because I love her

Gaga's. I wasn't a huge fan of hers back then but when you can sing live while all THOSE, you have my respect. I became a stan. That performance screams legend.

Katy's was more for the gimmicks and visuals, which I don't mind, but it's nowhere near Gaga's. I'm sorry.

I guess the camera work on Katy's was better, cuz when you watch the audience footage of both shows, Gaga's looked more interesting (with the lights from the choreographed audience). There were so much more that weren't caught on cam.

Totally non-biased: Gaga by a f*cking mile. Katy can't sing and her voice ruined her own SuperBowl. I can't watch it anymore because of that.

I don't mean this in a shady way, but I feel like Katy's relied a lot on spectacle, big props and shiny outfits, whereas Gaga's show relied on her talent as a performer. Not to say Katy didn't display talent or that Gaga didn't show big spectacle, but Gaga's felt like she was the actual star of the show, like she only really needed her voice and her dance moves to prove who she is. A good performer will shine whether she's riding a massive tiger or just standing in front of a microphone.

I still think Katy's show was pretty good, though.

Katy literally had a plastic sheeting with projections as part of her stage. I think her Super Bowl looked cheap, no shade. I did like the ‘I kissed a girl’ with Lenny Kravitz. They amazed me there. Gaga really came through with the live performance (Live vocals throughout), gave me real rockstar vibes, and the choreography and direction of the show was spectacular.

This was the riskiest part of the show just imagine if she didn’t catch that we all would’ve been in hell

I liked both shows, but Gaga is just on a whole other plain when it comes to talent. She did the whole show herself, gave live vocals and choreo, played several instruments. Gaga’s show was just much more complex

Not even gonna answer the question, sorry but only one of them is the greatest super bowl of all time  :partysick:

Katy’s served more visuals, which is surprising. I know it was best for Gaga’s comeback in the public eye that she didn’t do anything weird or crazy, but I couldn’t help but miss it as a fan who loves that stuff.

However, Gaga’s raw talent and passion always wins for me. So her.
