At the beginning of the year, the economy was "strong" (superficially), Biden was trailing Trump in the swing states he needed to win, he was credibly accused of sexual assault or harassment by multiple women, over a third of voters wanted the Democratic party to just take him off of the ticket and give the nomination to someone else, and roughly 40% of the party was bitter and angry about the blatantly corrupt primary, but now, with the ever-present threat of the virus serving as a constant reminder of Trump's inability to handle the crisis in a way that was even remotely competent, all while he incessantly promotes his own tarnished brand in new and hilarious ways, Biden's handlers will be able to drag his incontinent body over the finish line by virtue of the fact that he's not Trump. That's it.

It has absolutely nothing to do with Biden being who he is. Every poll we've seen over the course of the last year shows that most of the people that plan on voting for him don't like him and are doing it solely to vote against Trump, there's exactly zero enthusiasm for his candidacy, his record is f*cking atrocious, and every single time he makes a public appearance he makes some sort of repulsive comment that pisses off the very people that would be most inclined to vote for him, but... COVID is a daily sign of how dangerous and embarrassing Trump really is, all while the economy teeters on the edge of collapse. It's allowed for the only conditions within which which Biden could really just stay hidden in his house and manage to win anyway.

You’re dreaming! Biden has a proven record of progressive and liberal policies in the 21st century. There would be no end to DOMA or gay marriage without Biden’s lobbying. He was the driving force behind lobbying for the ACA which gave millions healthcare and he unsuccessfully tried to convince Obama to add the public option which gives Americans free universal healthcare. And those stat numbers about the “hater” vote were way worse for Hillary and are now even worse for Trump. Plus this was taken in January, back when Berniebots thought they had a chance. Newsflash, no matter how bad you want it, Bernie lost. It blows my mind that some people can’t see past the lens of four years ago when Democrats everywhere were begging for Joe Biden to run. He’s a hell of a politician and it’s laughable to say he has cognitive decline when the other option is Trump. It’s a right wing lie propagated by OAN and fox and the BernieBros have bought into it so hard! That’s what they want!

Hmmm let’s see. A presidency where the man sitting in the Oval Office tries to sell American tax dollars to a foreign power for dirt on a political opponent, blasts peaceful protesters in the face with tear gas and pepper spray so he can walk across the street and take a picture with a Bible, claim a global pandemic is a hoax and hold rallies to glorify your handling of said hoax, knowing our biggest foreign adversary is selling American soldier heads for money and not doing anything about it, not to mention all of the comments made about women, people of color, reporters, developing countries, condoning and celebrating white supremacy and putting all of his family in high ranking federal government positions...OR not that? Hmmm such a hard choice.

It's not anti-Biden in a two person race. It is anti-Biden when it comes to the fact he is not who I think should be the nominee. 

He is literally the bare minimum and nobody is voting FOR him. People just hate Trump so much and Trump has screwed up so bad in the last few months that his polling is horrendous. 

Never did I say voting for Biden is hard for me. I will early vote in a Hazmat suit if I have to.

Well guess what, Mimi? he’s the nominee. Whether you like it or not. And I’m voting for him. Plenty of people I know in real life and not the internet are voting for him. I live in the deepest part of Trump country and several former or families of coal miners who loved Trump four years ago are voting FOR Biden because the mines closed and Biden has a really great plan for rural development and infrastructure in this country. Bernie doesn’t appeal to the greater democratic base, sis. There’s millions of democrats who are not democratic socialists. I personally lean toward Bernie’s ideologies, so you need to watch who you’re saying belongs to which wing of the party. I voted for Liz Warren in the primary. But I’m a realist when it comes to politics. We live in a society now, especially with zoomers, where we can get anything on demand done and sent for us at the touch of a finger. It doesn’t work this way in politics. I would rather have a democratic nominee who can appeal to more democrats, independents and even republicans than one who couldn’t get their policies passed, even if they were elected.
