Alice.

Free Woman is cute but there’s too much instrumental, it sounds like a remix or something.

There's only one part of Free Woman that is just instrumental - Alice probably has more instrumental only parts than Free Woman

Chromatography

free woman is not chart or radio friendly :cryga: doesn’t make it any less of a bop but let’s call it like it is

Sonically I prefer Alice.

But Free Woman has a much better standard song structure.

Although FW suffers by the second bridge being stripped of the production for the most part.

Some really strange production choices on the album.

I hope Alice becomes a single so it flops and y’all learn to not disrespect Free Smash-Hit

Which won't happen because Alice is that bop :vegas:  Free Woman sounds like the single to close out the era, and it might scrape top 20 at best... but Alice... could go top 5

People love to say that a song doesn’t need to have radio appeal to be a hit, but name one sustainable hit in the last 6 months that hasn’t been backed by radio??

When ROM started losing momentum the only thing we talked about was promo & radio call-outs. That’s because they’re important.

Here’s how a radio listener will hear Alice:

MY NAAAAAMMMEEEEE ISNT ALIIIIICE

:O

uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh

:hmm:

could you pull me out of this aliiive??

:wtfga:

uh uh uh uh uh uh uh

<switches station>

Free Woman with a radio edit that shortens the pre-chorus & cuts the bridge down is an easily digestible, fresh vocal performance with a familiar production style. It’s the better choice for that reason imo

Looking at the comments...

It really proves the review about Chromatica having songs that clash each other. :applause:

It's the A-YO vs Million Reasons and Gypsy vs G.U.Y. of the era :tony:

Alice is PHENOMENAL but I'll bet more on Free Woman to be a GP hit

If she kept the original version I would've chose Free Woman but the official version is inferior
