The 2009 swine flu pandemic killed like 300k (possibly more) in like a year and a half. COVID-19 has killed 500k in 6 months, most deaths in the last 3-4 months. Or a antiviral like Tamiflu which came out really quick during the 2009 pandemic bc we know this straws and how they work, these "virus" are not new to us. It could mutates to some nature killer monster but most likely to not happen. In the other hand, the H1N1 flu has a mortality rate bigger than Covid-19 but we have treatment and vaccine when we don't for the later that has a ****ed up way of function.
