Ambrosia 3,775
If rock is truly dead, it continues to rise out of the dreaded graves to haunt the living! Loving the new music flowing in this year! The new music does sound good! I especially liked Painkiller, but I'm finding I'm liking TDG's material more lately. From the new album, Savages. Always could get into their music when I hear it - I just keep forgetting about it - like a hidden gem in my jewelry box. I will check out the new album. *************************** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3bauBwyjek I get the impression this band doesn't take itself overly seriously and it just makes me laugh and happy. With a name like that, you got to have a sense of humor, right? Do not do to others what angers you if done to you by others. -Socrates

Shadow 6,476
Alright, let's come up with a list bands that Gaga seems to love. I'll start with Skid Row. Gaga appears to love Skid Row and here's the proof: I'll add more as time goes on, but feel free to add any you know of or heard Gaga say which bands she loves. Queen Green Day (the first CD she bought was their second album 'Dookie' , also during their MTV VMA performance in 2012 she was fangirling on twitter) Sex Pistols (she had a poster of Sid Vicious in her backstage room during TMB era if I can recall correctly alongside with other musical legends' posters to inspire her and give her strength before the show, something like a personal space that no one else besides gaga herself could enter..perhaps she is fascinated by the whole band as well) The Rolling Stones Edited August 7, 2014 by heartshapedhole
Ambrosia 3,775
You are right about that. I cant take a band too seriously when their handle sounds so silly. Their handle? That reminds me of the trucker culture. My dad used to like this song and he'd play it for me when he wanted me to laugh. It's delightful, but so cheesy. My dad was a hoot. :) Reminds me of the time we were all on the road and got behind a convoy of trucks. It was a 2 lane highway, but my dad got behind one, then when it was safe to pass, another, and another, until we were in front of them all. The truckers honked and waved as we did this. My dad was a real life Smokey and the Bandit. Don't let the secret out though. They really have a language of their own. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le2bPRGvKXE Alright, let's come up with a list bands that Gaga seems to love. I'll start with Skid Row. She has such great taste in rock bands! I must have missed that she was in the Sex Pistols, but I love how she decorates her environment in musical greatness. Megadeth. Wonder what her favorite songs are? Yes! Another Dave Mustaine fan! The man is a metal legend! Wonder that myself, but if you listen to Electric Chapel it sounds very similar to the Killing Road from Megadeth's album, Youthanasia. I hope she fell in love with their early material. They still got it, but those first six albums were killer! Credit to Chad for originally making the connection on the Killing Road, miss that dude. Hmm, I have a feeling you're right, I remember her saying something about Sex Pistols, but I don't remember when and where. We can also name off David Bowie, someone we all know she loves.
