Ok cool let’s make it a free for all then so Americans can just all die out and stop ruining the world already

:huntyga:nobody said that. I was just explaining the legal structure of America and how we don’t simply “illegalize” something because it makes others feel better. We actually have checks & balances

If stores in the US can say "No shirt no shoes no service," they can certainly say, "No mask no service." That is very different from refusing to serve someone because of their race or sexual orientation. Also, I note the irony that a lot of people (not on this site, but out in the world) who think it is a business's right to discriminate suddenly are in an uproar about a business's right to ask people to wear masks to protect their employees and customers. It's like, Okay, we agree that a bakery shouldn't have to bake a cake for a gay wedding, but how dare Home Depot require its customers to wear masks?! :triggered:

Also, studies have been conducted proving that wearing a mask doesn't lower one's oxygen levels or increase one's CO2 levels except in the rarest of cases. If people have breathing problems that make it uncomfortable for them to wear a mask, gosh, they're really not going to enjoy being on a ventilator.

Ultimately, wearing a mask is less for yourself and more about those around you. If we both wear masks and one of us has covid, and we're in close proximity of each other, there's only a 1.5% chance that the virus will be transmitted to the other person. By collectively wearing masks, we can open up the economy and contain the virus. Countries in Asia were able to contain the virus without locking down because nearly 100% of the population wears masks in public. Even little kids in Asia wear masks to school without complaining. Taiwan has had no new cases of local transmission in weeks, and everyone there still wears masks in public. It's a simple act that saves people's lives and saves the economy. There are tons of masks out there now. You can find all sorts of interesting designs for cloth masks, and if you find cloth masks too warm, medical masks are easier to find now.

I went to the dentist last week. My hygienist was wearing an N95 and a surgical mask and a plastic shield. I'm sure it's not comfortable for her to wear those for 8 or 9 hours a day. If she can do that, I can wear a cute cloth mask or lightweight surgical mask during the 25 minutes I spend grocery shopping.

Also, tucking a tissue over the bridge of your nose underneath your mask will keep your glasses from fogging up.

Everyone at the Target I work at wears mask. And if people don’t want to wear one, security is called and they’re kicked out. :ladyhaha:

But I went with my bf yesterday to order food to go at a restaurant and only me, him, and 1 other person were wearing a mask. And I counted at least 12 people in the restaurant. :wtf: I honestly was feeling paranoid; people need to get over themselves and just wear it.

And when school starts in August and masks are required... it’s gonna be a mess...

It's not like you are wearing these things 24 hours a day lol.  I doubt that the 20 minutes or so most people would be wearing a mask while interacting in groups is really going to overload your bodies "toxins".

I wear one 8 to 12 hours a day at work, 6 days a week, and I feel fine :lolly:

Also js, it’s hypocritical if you support denying service to people not wearing masks but than believe we should force people to serve based off sexual orientation. It can’t be both ways.

What? :lmao:

Not wearing a mask = potentially spreading a deadly virus that's already killed 125k Americans

Being gay = not killing anyone

I'm sorry but that is a seriously dumb statement and not a comparison you can make logically :smh:

Well, in regards to the glasses thing, I also wear glasses 99.9% of the time...but I still go out with a mask on—if I need to go out. That is no excuse whatsoever.

I actually found a solution to this. Get a nonscented bar soap and clean your lenses with it. Rinse them off until you can't see it anymore but there will still be a thin film on it that prevents your glasses from fogging up :gayhat:

:koons: people coughed in stores last summer. Did you arrest them then? They may have had a life threatening illness after all.

:enigma: Viruses aren’t new

Coughing or spitting on purpose on someone with the intent of spreading illness is a crime, specially during a global pandemic!!

At least here in Europe.

I'm not sure about the US though, "the Land of the Free" always surprises me with their laws of pure freedom:gum:

some comments on this thread, how can a person be so dumb when there's so much information available? :triggered:

Babe, the US is one of the scientific centers of the world, and most of their population is as dumb as a doorknob. :billie:

It’s just like how spitting on someone is illegal.

:triggered: where is the law criminalizing coughing in your country? Can you show me the legal ramification?

You may think that it is.

And it certainly is flat out disrespectful. No doubt about that. But i highly doubt it is a legal CRIME.
