HookerDotGov 527 Posted July 9, 2020 Share Posted July 9, 2020 My Thoughts: 01. Smile (song) sounds like a WITNESS album cut to me. I was hoping she'd go for a different sound. 02. Never Really Over and Harley's in Hawaii are on the tracklist? I thought she had said they were feelers she put out. I actually like NRO, HIH, and Daisies and feel they work on a single album...but not with Smile or the aesthetic of SMILE the album... 03. R.I.P. @ Small Talk being the only track of her "feelers" being left off. It was my favorite one. 04. I'm a little disappointed that a ton of singles are on the track list. I was fine with her going in a totally different direction. Then Daisies came out and I was confused, cause it just seemed similar to her "feelers." I didn't like Daisies but it is definitely stronger than Smile. Katy, why? She had such a potential smash with NRO; if they had given it half the push they've given Daisies, she'd be in a much better position right now. She should’ve stayed with NRO and made it the Official lead but instead, she chose to make some clownery... like literally... If I like it, then that's what I get! It's This Is What We Do's prettier sister. This feels more like a lead single than Daisies too. There's not much difference from the one that leaked tho.
