Zachary Jude 155 Posted June 26, 2020 Share Posted June 26, 2020 If you had to pick a new title/title track for each of Gaga's albums, what would each album be called? I was bored and I'm curious. My choices are below: 1. The Fame --> Paparazzi Kind of obvious, I know, and I struggled with this choice. But it still keeps the album's thesis (fame/celebrity) tied into the title, and it's one of her most iconic songs of all time. 2. The Fame Monster --> Dance in the Dark TFM is a pretty dark piece as it is, dealing with Gaga's fears. I think DITD would be a cool alternate title. 3. Born This Way --> Bad Kids BTW's thesis is obviously self-acceptance -- an anthem for those who don't fit in. Bad Kids is similar, though I think Marry the Night would work, too. 4. ARTPOP --> Aura This just seems natural to me. 5. Joanne --> Diamond Heart If you listen to the lyrics of this song, it is just as personal as Joanne -- maybe even more so. 6. Chromatica --> Sine From Above Chromatica is all about healing -- healing from heartbreak, healing from trauma. It seems like they don't function the same way the original titles do. It's like, the concept's already formed and complete, how can I change that??? And also, I'm really bad at this , so don't laugh at my choices: 1. The Fame --> Starstruck (It's not exactly the same concept as if it was called The Fame, but the meaning of Starstruck is being kind of fascinated with famous people and celebrities, so... It's kinda similar Your choice of Paparazzi is good, it gives us this feeling of fame and, you know, the whole celebrity thing) 2. The Fame Monster --> Dance In The Dark (That's because I supposed I couldn't name it Monster) 3. Born This Way --> Hair (well , Hair is another anthem of self-acceptance and I think it'd fit in as the title, even though it's weird to think of Born This Way having any other title) 4. ARTPOP --> The Applause (Or only Applause. Well, this one's probably the worst one for me to suggest a new title, ARTPOP is such a concept, I can't think of any other title for it and Applause was the only one I could think of) 5. Joanne --> Angel Down (lmao, suggesting this title reminded me of the Chaos Angel rumours anyway, I just think it could work as the album title well, I guess, even though Joanne personifies the album. I also think Diamond Heart was a good choice of yours) 6. Chromatica --> Sine From Above (I give up. It's too difficult to think of a new title for any Gaga album. BTW > Bad Kids: Misfits, Outcasts, nobodies, but we don't care what you say! ARTPOP > Aura: Gaga exposes parts (vulnerability) of herself from behind the Aura/veil Joanne > Sinner's Prayer Chromatica > 1000 Doves For me this song is the epitome of her spitting out all her emotions, feelings, struggles with herself, being there for her lover/loved ones and her mental issues. And I know, this was more of a thought experiment more than anything else.
