Gracious Gaga 17,163 Posted June 26, 2020 Share Posted June 26, 2020 Which song do you like better? This is a bit of a tough choice for me. I think Sour Candy had a lot of missed opportunities. It could've had a more modern and fresh sound, I also feel that BLACKPINK's parts in the song are a bit cheesy and I wish it was just a solo Gaga track. I love Gaga's parts in the song and I know that sounds very bias but I would've loved the "I might be messed up" verse to happen twice- once at the beginning of the song, before the first chorus "I'm hot on the outside..." and then the second on being exactly where it already is. and I wish the lyrics in the chorus were better, im not a fan of the "if you gave me time then I would make time" line lol . All that being said, I think sour candy had potential to be one of the best songs on the album. Gaga's Melodys are great on this song. I really love her verse and the chorus's. all that being said- stupid love is not my favorite song on Chromatica either- however, I do feel it is a stronger track than Sour Candy. Not that it feels completely out of place, but it's just the less memorable and meaningful one.
