It's disgusting. totally agree. people are creating false rumours and incorrect accusations and using them against him. it isn't new. the fact that there's been so many accusations against him that have been proven wrong, the claim isn't really trustworthy

My point is, what he said about not being successful just because one is gay is simply not true. He wrote entire thing in Korean with a context of being Korean. However, westerners try to put him under their global perspective. And it’s unfair cause we never get the same privilege like y’all. When I joke with my friend “bê đê mà làm thầy giáo thì phải giấu”, i meant it in my country’s context. Being publicly gay in an Asia, especially conservative countries, is in fact the biggest obstacle to be successful. Please ignore the spelling in username. I am a Beyonce stan afterall. Ik but the fact that these K-Netitz are making fake allegations against him is disgusting, plus because of COVID, LGBTQA+ people are becoming targets in South Korea Mychal
Lemondeduerl 3,239
But anyways if you're openly gay you won't be successful, I mean there are a lot of LGBT artists in Korea but you won't see them in a group like BTS, Stray Kids, Monsta X, Mamamoo, Blackpink... there is still a lot of homophobia in this country. I can't imagine how many idols are gay, bisexual or lesbian living in the "closet" :)
Athul 27
For the record, Taeyong definitely wasn't an angel. He definitely has had issues in the past. But a lot of the stuff he done has been blown way out of proportion lmao. 1. The Scamming incident: was no scamming at all. He had a verbal back and forth between a dude he sold a toy to who wasn't satisfied with what he received so Taeyong promised to replace the item but the other person posted online saying he got scammed so Taeyong went off on him. He did not sent bricks to multiple people unlike what some people like to claim. 2. The bullying incident: He called a person fat on an online forum when he was a kid. He met with them in person and apologized. All the allegations of the victim attempting suicide or the violence claims have been proven untrue by his school, classmates and teachers. 3. The homophobic comment: while it's definitely insensitive, it was aimed at a friend of his and I don't think it's too serious imo. I have said worse and I'm gay. "everyone does it" was not my point. my point was that a lot of people use that in a way that isn't homophobic, ie. use the word 'gay' in a way that isn't referring to gay people but is instead used as a colloquial term, so it's possible that that's what was meant.
