Raven was as much of a **** as Tyra but Tyra did better. Jujubee was less of a **** and just shady but... she didn't even win a challenge lmao. Tyra's win is one of the most deserved of the entire series.

Well, OK, I will give you that. 

I watched S2 before I knew anything about Tyra after the show, and I still thought she was crazy overrated by the judges. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference.

Back then the queens didn’t have to worry about sensitive fans throwing hate at them bc they take the show so seriously. They were so unfiltered and unapologetic. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the show and think S12 was one of the best seasons, but Untuckeds are so useless now. S2-S5 girls were something else in terms of shadiness lmao.

This is why I’m enjoying having the S3 girls on AS5. They don’t give two sh*ts and are bringing that old school shadiness back.

Thank you! This fanbase has been horrible to Tyra ever since S2 aired, they pretty much bullied her until she quit drag which was recently. I even understand the messy moments she’s had, her experience with the show has been nothing but horrible.

Another thing, reading this thread has made me want to say some things about the fans. And I’ll put it in bold so y’all read it:

Don’t treat the queens as if they are just mere products or fictional characters. These are real human beings, treat them as such. It’s not cute to see fans make fun of some queens, or disparage their talent, or drag them bc of some shady things they said, or drag them bc they’re not doing well on the show. Remember this are actual people, all the queens are talented bc they made it on the show, and not all of them make great competitors. Please have more respect for the queens. Remember that it’s a high pressure competition and that brings the worst in some people, coupled with editing, so also many queens aren’t as bitchy as they are portrayed. Treat them with respect.

For example the Brita situation. She got competitive, she underperformed on the show. That’s not to say she’s not talented, and that’s not to say she’s hateful. Don’t take the show SO seriously, and don’t discredit the queens. If they made it on the show, that means they’re talented. Just something I would like the fans to do. Don’t send hate, don’t cyber bully them, don’t put them down when they win over your fave, they are people, treat them as such. They’re not like a character on a show like GOT where you can hate on a character as much as you want bc they’re fictional. This are actual people, and this is reality tv, so many things are edited to look a certain way, and it’s also a competition so many queen’s crumble under pressure and can get bitchy or catty. So just take that in mind. Let’s just be better.

Period. It really pains me to know we couldn't see her fully enjoy her reign and growth thanks to the racism of the fanbase and if she still wanted to, she could slay the new girls too, she just has it. Starpower.

They only started the lip sync for the crown because the show was getting so much backlash for the dreadful lip sync performances that season. I hope you didn’t just spoil AS5 for me...Let’s not even mention that Mama Ru looked like a Morticia Addams reject with her awful ass makeup job Raven was doing on her. The reunion was nice because they finally fought each other, I’ll give you that. But no, I hate Season 9. It is honestly unwatchable for me.

I think Sasha is one of the more misunderstood queens because her drag is primarily devoted to performance art. Just watch this performance of Annie Lennox's "Love Song for a Vampire": 

 

This reminded me a lot of her "So Emotional" performance. I took the rose petals to represent blood, and she was performing as a someone so utterly obsessed with someone that they're clawing at their own skin and hair in desperation.

Both of Sasha’s lip syncs were masterpieces, and yes I’ve seen some of her shows online and she’s absolutely incredible. It seems like fans don’t really see beyond the death drops and splits. Look at Sasha’s facial expressions and emotion while lip syncing against Shea and Peppermint. Mawma that’s art.

The roses gag was just that one final touch, and it’s what everyone remembers, but Shea was not turning it, Sasha would have won without petals. The thing is that Shea and Sasha love and respect each other so much, yet queens love to pit them against each other.

Sasha’s performances on the finale are the best the show has ever seen, and the reason I’m a huge fan of hers. I so want to see her live someday

No I think a good lip sync should be more than some kind of reveal gimmick. I have nothing against Sasha V. personally, you’re the one who’s getting upset at my opinion over a tv show. Why don’t you stop taking it so seriously? Listen to your own post. You start throwing out “toxic! rude! Puts down queens!” when I was just stating my opinions. I said no bad word about any queen. All I said was I think Sasha V. shouldn’t have won just because she made a angry face and let some flowers fall out of a wig. Shea won 4 challenges.  They only started doing LSFTC because the lip syncs that season were dire and I feel like it pulled the rug out from under Shea because the format changed from how it had been for 10 other seasons of the show before that one.
