Let's just say there are some songs on the album that a topic like this would never be created for. There's a reason the question has to be asked in the first place..

SKIP!

It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. - Audre Lorde

I feel like the people who say "The song goes nowhere" didn't understand the song in the first place :ladyhaha:

Like, if you actually took the time to understand how exactly the song matches up with the lyrics, I think it's really cleverly done.

Thank you for saying this lmao. I totally understand not liking the song because that's opinion based but it seems most people who think it's "boring" didn't even pick up the meaning in the first place. The song isย really good at invoking the feeling she's trying to convey I guess I was wrong thinking theย meaning was obvious lol.ย :billie:

Plastic Doll is a skip for me too.ย

On Future Love she did theย plastic/rubber person metaphor better, and ironically, in a way that fits theย Chromatica visualsย better than any song on Chromatica.ย

woah... the results for that poll have me SHOOK

always weird when you realize your opinion is way more subjective than you usually pause to consider. (tbh sometimes what songs are good/bad seems like an objective fact to me, lol)

but, no, i can't forgive her for "love the papparazzi, love the fame / even when you know it causes me pain." (... save the hokey self-referencing rhymes for your rebel heart 30 years from now, sweety. not worthy material from a grand diva in her prime.)

My opinion on the song is that the writing (well, most of it- that second verse is... well) is fine. The vocal performance is incredible (as is with the rest of the album).

But the production and instrumentation is somehow simultaneously overdramatic yet underserving? I think a lot of my issues with ACT I and ACT III is that the production is rather hollow, imo.

No, it's a BOP!

Also Plastic Doll is also amazing. I'm not understanding all the hate from her best songs :rip:ย
