MingersPrayer 579
I listened to this harrrrd last summer. I fell in love with it - experimental & thought provoking. It was my most played album on Spotify for 2019 but by 2020 it started to grow tired. I’m a huge Madonna fan and her antics away from music have really put me off. I pretty much didn’t play it at all from January until June - until this week where I revisited. It’s made me fall in love again. Only dislike 3 of the tracks. Overall one of the greats. Original Diva 4,958
I absolutely adore this album but I never listen to it anymore. I think I may have overplayed it or maybe it doesn't fit my musical vibe at the moment haha. Great album though. excuse me no
Kimberly jj 265
It is on of her most creative albums, in fact it is leaning towards experimental songs. In this album madonna talks about politics movements stories, the WORLD in general, god control=gun control, I RISE is a empowerment song, Looking for mercy< helped me with my depression this album songs speak for itself, each track has a strong meaning towards it, and she definitely succeeded with trying different sounds, the autotune is heavy which i like, I think she used it to give a special "character" not for correcting her voice I think atleast NEVER for that purpose, it sets the tone for the whole album. It is a true journey, and it is a sad one its like a reality check. I've bought the special deluxe album because i truley love it. i give it a solid 9.5/
hausoffame 388
It's funny, at times I think this album is a mess and others I love it lol. I do like that she took some chances with it and didn't play it safe. My fave tracks are God Control, Dark Ballet, Crazy, I Don't Search I Find and I Rise. TheMiddleGround 3,184
The topics that are the core of the album are extremely current. I wonder what kind of impact songs like “Killers who are partying”, “Batuka”, “Future” & “Dark ballet” would have if it would’ve been released now instead of a year ago. sillynate 6,170
So I just realized this album was released on Donald Trump’s birthday... and I always thought the lines “Get that old man put him in a jail” from Fernalism and “they are so naive they think we are not aware of their crimes” from Dark Ballet were about him & his White House staff... further confirmation if you ask me
