HugoJG 1,108
She literally said she is fine having all those struggles (cuz we all do and it's ok) as she just dance through them and keep going. At the end of the day, she'll keep looking for wonderland, as we all do

We say that every year. I do appreciate people wanting the best and being hopeful though. The truth is the topics she wrote about on this album(depression, PTSD,etc) aren’t ever going to go away. She will continue to have bouts of symptoms and depression. Someday Michael could be gone and there will be someone else. The important to thing is that she appears to be handling these mental issues in a healthy way when they do show themselves. Totally this. Things have improved because she got help and she actively looked for healthy ways and coping mechanisms so that when she hits a bad patch she’s better able to deal with it, whereas previously she struggled with that and ended up self-medicating and harming herself. The train of thought suggesting that she can be healed by being with Michael (or anyone else she may be with in the future) isn’t a healthy one either. Being happy with someone can certainly help with someone’s state of mind and can be of huge support value, but nobody can be fixed by another person. The healing has to come from within. Do I feel sad for her? Of course. I feel sad for everything she’s been through and for the cards she’s been dealt in terms of her health. I also feel hopeful for her and I’m completely impressed by how, through everything, she stays positive, kind, and manages to always think of others and use her experiences to help however she can
Robo Ga 15,313
Definitely. I’ll never forget my first listen of Chromatica because Stupid Love kinda led me to believe it would be more of a positive album lyrically. Little did I know that it’s by far the most “happy” song on the album. The album is an explosion of pain. I really felt it more deeply because I also am in a very dark place in my life. I really felt her pain acutely on Alice, Fun Tonight, Plastic Doll and Replay. The entire album is one of the saddest most beautiful things I’ve ever heard in my life, truly. 🤖⚡️

I’m just glad she has people that love her. All of this. I live outside the space time continuum.

PartySick 161,511
These kinds of struggles killed one of my two favorite artists. I'm so, so happy that Gaga is able to push through them You're stinky
TheMiddleGround 3,280
No. Without her pain she would not be who we love today. She knows it and stands by it.
Sarah H 3,740
I feel sorry for her knowing what she goes through as I can relate to her when it comes to the fibromyalgia pain. But hopefully she has a lot of supportive people around her.
Shadow 6,638
Yes, but I still believe she is a very strong, young woman with such a passion for life and people in a way that is surreal. I recently watched her film, Gaga: Five Foot Two and the pain she was enduring then was heart breaking... Who knows how she took all that for inspiration for this album which in a weird way has me respecting Joanne with the pain she had then and her authentic touch in that work. Chromatica feels visceral and deeper somehow, not just the pain, but a sense of helplessness and unfathomable sorrow that many people might relate with on some level but also very personal and unique which a number of songs like 911, Fun Tonight, Alice, Replay, and even Rain on Me touches on only gives us a glimpse into her psyche. Like aged wine, at first it comes off bitter, but I admire the sweetness of her strength she keeps inside that comes apparent with repeat listening. That is why I feel this album is a grower if people give a chance to digest it. Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
