AntonTurnItUp 7,088
You know what? the 80s and 90s EDM records were sold in vinyls with different versions of the song called mixes and sometimes a Side B song, so I think Gaga will do this in the future to re-launch the era, maybe not in vinyls but I think we've heard a little part of this project yet, I'm so excited

I like to bop to it but the concept isn’t intriguing enough as of now for me also she could’ve done more with production, she could’ve gone wild but some songs leave me wanting more But what makes you say that? Because the ideas aren't 100% her own? Because that doesn't make any sense...No idea is 100% Gaga's. She works with producers, and aside from her own music, she has a whole team that she works with. In a lot of ways, Gaga is sort of like a muse. Of course she herself is invested in her art, but she's always collaborating with people. This album was no different. You not liking the concept of the album is irrelevant to whether or not Gaga worked just as hard on this album as she did other albums—and news flash, she did. As for the production, if you read the interview you'd know that they wanted the album to feel familiar, yet contemporary. That's why it's not as "experimental" as her other albums. She had a specific vision for this album, and it heavily dealt with attributing the production to old-school house. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
S0436 10,215
Most pop artists who contribute lyrics to songs usually do it after the song has been produced. The fact she was part of the genesis of most of the Chromatica tracks and didn’t take a production credit on any of the songs is modest of her and other pop stars wouldn’t be so generous. I would be extremely surprised if they released new Chromatica songs tbh but the thought of it is exciting! Only one of those that was something “promised” was ACT II. That fell through because legal issues and huge shake up in her team that caused ARTPOP to wind down prematurely. Even then she still went and did the G.U.Y. Film out of her own pocket so the era didn’t just end short. More work with Tony she always said she wanted to do. There was no promise or even mention of Joanne 2.0 and then the dive bar tour extra dates were never intended to be shows of Gagas, bud light just extended the concept past her - yes there was one cancelled date but that was because it conflicted with the plans for the world tour. I still question the legal issues there was stopping her from even performing ACT 2 songs. She obviously had no problem singing PARTYNAUSEOUS and Brooklyn Nights at the ArtRAVE. Also in an interview in 2017 Gaga teased she was planning on singing new music at the JWT too. She also teased releasing Paradise as she said she needed a bit more time to perfect it and six years later... let’s face it. Gaga teases lots of music that never comes. And theres nothing wrong with it but i can see how this time the sound of the producers outshined the gaga typical dark pop sound... Also somewhere in the interview one of the producers mentions how he wanted to stay away from the trendy EDM electronic sound, but i think they failed to do that in SFA, 1000 DOVES, AND FREE woman ... i love those songs but i cant help it to feel like its a remix of an actual gaga songs! You obviously know nothing about retro disco/house then.

Like she wasn’t as hands on as she usually is, especially regarding the production. It seems like half the tracks were projects that were started without her involvement and just presented to her. All I’m saying is: I don’t wanna hear that tired “ARTPOP is only recycled beats’ read from anybody ever again . Marry The Night was produced remotely. She was on tour and asked Garibay to send over music: "Gaga came back to her studio bus and asked him about the progress. Garibay then explained that he had concocted a different kind of music for the song, and played the church-bell inspired music to Gaga. After first hearing it, the singer said that she started to cry, noticing the vastness of the music, and she started writing the lyrics for 'Marry the Night'".
