LG666 1,930
"We set up six microphones and recorded [Gaga's] Lamborghini exhaust, and SOPHIE cut it up into samples." O. M. G! Can you IMAGINE. Sidenote, this article REALLY hones in on how special and intentional the whole album is, sonically. If you know anything about classic Detroit house music and history + drum and base... you know this album is brilliant in too many ways to count. I'm in such awe of this album, my inner music geek is sobbing.
kostauventura 545
As much as i love chromatica its true that some songs doesnt have the GAGA punch like , ROM, Alice, 911, Babylon which i consider the most Gaga songs, on the other hand, songs like free woman , fun tonight, plastic doll, sine from above, 100 doves feel rather like a new extension of her sound in pop and electronic music. And theres nothing wrong with it but i can see how this time the sound of the producers outshined the gaga typical dark pop sound... Also somewhere in the interview one of the producers mentions how he wanted to stay away from the trendy EDM electronic sound, but i think they failed to do that in SFA, 1000 DOVES, AND FREE woman ... i love those songs but i cant help it to feel like its a remix of an actual gaga songs! Jose P 23,341
I don’t want to be negative but I won’t get my hopes up for a rerelease or new songs or an act 2. Have we learned nothing as Gaga fans? This could very well end up as another broken promise, so I just rather remain neutral, stay tuned if anything does come, but won’t expect anything. AVeryGagaHolyDick 25,140
We didn't get the BTW new songs (except for Stuck On Fvckin' You), we didn't get ARTPOP Act II, we didn't get Red, Hot & Blue with Tony and we didn't get Joanne 2.0 and the Dive Bar shows that were supposed to happen with it, neither did we get the Shallow studio version or Clover. I would be extremely surprised if they released new Chromatica songs tbh but the thought of it is exciting!

Gaga isn't all dark pop ya know? This is the most Gaga record, it's different and innovative, the antithesis of Gaga! She's signed for eight albums (2 more) however LG8 is optional. She also has the option to resign for LG9 after LG8 is released. Resign for LG10 after LG9 is released so on so forth. So basically after LG8 she can end her contract if she really wanted too? Consent to LMAO react me

LG8 is optional, she doesn't have to do it. She can leave Interscope after LG7 if she really wanted to. I don't think she will leave Interscope as they have been very good with her recently. They've given her an awful lot of artistic freedom in terms of what music she wanted to make.

I think the budget of the overall era will be a lot less if she's her own label. Idk how labels work but I think they give her xyz amount of budget per album (it changes) and she has to make do with what she has and in turn return the budget in album sales. They worked on this album for years and Gaga shaped it into what we know it as today. She's not a puppet for her producers I don’t think it’s all Bloodlpop ofc but i don’t think she put the same effort as she did in her previous albums imo, i may be wrong but that’s the feeling i get when i listen to the album. I like to bop to it but the concept isn’t intriguing enough as of now for me also she could’ve done more with production, she could’ve gone wild but some songs leave me wanting more
S0436 10,215
An extension to Chromatica could happen because this time it isn’t Gaga promising it unlike other things in the past like Act

I've read all of your comments in thread. I certainly understand that the article seems to imply that Gaga was less involved on the production side of things; however, we don't actually know what her or other producer's ideas sound like with the exception of a Haus Labs version of Babylon and I think a demo of free woman and snippet of rain on me(? I think?). So, I think it's really hard for your to have the opinion you have and have it be a verifiable fact. In reality, you are just projecting negativity on the project and Gaga's involvement in it because maybe you just didn't like what the final product was? It would be much easier for you to just say that the album just isn't your album instead of looking for reasons to be overly critical on something you know very little about. I’m just expressing my opinion and i always make sure to note that i still listen to the album every single day and i like it and bop to it but i can’t take it as seriously as her previous work i never said “Chromatica is a bad album PERIOD” so don’t come for me. I just wanna discuss what she could’ve done better and if there are people who think the same. I love Gaga but i don’t have to like everything she does
