I wasn't talking about Billboard. I was talking about America.

Ah, I see, the confusion was caused by you saying "same with billboard" which literally is you talking about billboard. Thatd suggest you were talking about billboard, since you said you were.

Must be my mistake.

When I said Hot 100, I was saying you can observe the same situation in both Hot 100 and Artist 100.

There's no good music coming from high profile women other than Gaga atm :poot:

Like the only current female song I can think of is Say So and I am so beyond tired of hearing it.

The women are not high profile because they're not given the opportunity given the current consumer climate. Well at least it hasn't been for some time.

There's a female led pop revolution every decade, mayne Gaga's leading this one like she led the one in the 2010's :gayhat:

I say we wait a year and get charts that are all female :gayhat:

Let's hope. We kinda need a reinvention at this point. :gaycat:

Maybe it will be led by KP5 coming in August. :gaycat:

How can you say that right in front of my Kindness Punk face :excuseu:

If Katy getting a hit album is what it takes to save us from male mediocrity then I'm here for it :gayhat:

I mean, I enjoy some of The Weekend and Post Malone's stuff but we need the queens back :gayhat:

How do you have 9 men and 1 woman in the top 10 of Artist 100? America has serious issues on how they perceive women. Same with Billboard Hot 100.

This is a stretch. Rap is just very popular right now (was it ever not after the 2000's?), and it just so happens to be a male dominated genre...

How is Ariana no in the top 10? :wtfga:

She's not pushing any music at the moment.

There aren't any female artists pushing albums at the moment, only singles. I feel like it would be different too if Gaga only had Chromatica, but she has a pretty extensive catalog (example being The Fame charting again). If Beyoncé were to put out an album she'd probably be on the list. Same with Ariana. Maybe even Madonna if her fans stream. Britney might be up there if she were to put out an album and people reconnected with her back-catalog.

I get what you're saying, but many of these male artists charting are relatively newer artists whereas it takes female giants like Beyonce and Ariana and Gaga to challenge them. Don't you feel like new rappers are viewed more favourably than new (usually female) pop stars? Btw, when was the last time we had a new male pop star?

The gender connotations are so strong across genres.

What about having faith in KP5 that is not kind? :gaycat:

Well sure Daisies is questionable but I'm sure the rest of the album will be better. :gaycat:
