Alice is the worst song on the album and its only decent part is the chorus. :bye:

Everything could be everything (it could mean anything)

HUGE LIST INCOMING

(arrest me GGD, I don't give a f*ck, this is about UNPOPULAR opinions, I'm not here to post something you agree with:vegas:)

- Chromatica is my least favorite Gaga album (for now) (but I still love Gaga more than any other artist)

- People praise it because it's cohesive, but I think overall most of the songs sound about the same and I don't like it

- Stupid Love was the best choice for the lead single (if ROM was single #2 of course)

- Stupid Love reminds me of Highway To Hell (don't ask me why lmaoooo)

- The two only songs that are single-material were already released as singles

- Stupid Love sounds awful between Alice and Rain On Me (not that it's bad but it just doesn't work.) It would be better if Stupid Love was before Alice, and if ROM was right after Alice.

- Replay is the only song that isn't generic

- I'm certain that I've heard the exact melody of the ROM outro (thunder coming down) in at least 5 songs from 2014-2016, when I first heard it I prayed it wouldn't be the melody I expected, but it actually was

- Too much reverberation on her voice in almost every song

- Stupid Love was destroyed by its final mixing / mastering. The leaked demo is 100x better and it's the only version I listen to

- The vocals in Replay are INCREDIBLE

- Elton John and Gaga don't sound good together

- The production in some songs sounds like a remix posted by an amateur person on YouTube (especially Free Woman)

- Alice, Stupid Love, Rain On Me and Replay are the best produced songs by far

- I LOVE the interludes and I consider them to be as important as the songs, especially since it's the first time Gaga writes pieces like these with no vocals

the demo and final version of stupid love are literally the same, aside from being a little louder with a bit of a higher end boost on the EQ.

Rain On Me has very generic lyrics and doesn't make me feel anything emotionally even though I know what it's trying to say.  Only the video gets the point across.

Alice would have been 10x better if it had a second verse.

this bothers me too, like when exactly gaga turned into this kind of pop star that need 6 people to write a bland pop song with NO chorus like sl, or with a lenght of just 3:00 like fn, rom? and not even produce it?

born this way: 17 songs mostly with +4 min, 6 songwriters and producers. gaga produced every song.

chromatica: 13 songs mostly with -3 min, 27 songwriters and producers, gaga isn't a producer in none of them.

I feel like the original version of the songs probably had more words in it and normal song structures in them, then words and sections got taken out.  At least we know words were removed from Stupid Love, and I haven't heard the Free Woman demo, but from reports, that one too?

- 911's chorus is so anticlimactic :selena:

- Fun Tonight is NOT a skip!

- Enigma is okay but nothing groundbreaking. The weakest track on the album, imo.

- Plastic Doll's lyrics are underrated!

Red wine, cheap perfume and a filthy pout.

My one big problem with the album is that a lot of the songs are all build-up with no pay off. I felt like I was being teased the whole time with no climax. I was waiting for a drop or a big chorus and it felt like the songs just never went anywhere (with a few exceptions). That said it is still a strong album that I love.

Sine from above is the weakest song on the album, the production is cheap and so 2011/12, I love the lyrics and Gaga’s voice is everything but Elton is losing his voice and obviously pulling the song down. If I am not mistaken this song was initially for Elton 2013 or so by some producer. Why did gaga do it? I know they are great together but why use a dated a song and not start from scratch??

songs written by gaga and produced by Bloodpop+Burns alone >>>> every song

these songs are the most cohesive, fresh and intriguing.

That’s why Enigma and Replay have strong Choruses

Love the album but I don’t know why she didn’t work with DJWS on this one, an AMAZING house producer who clearly knows what he’s doing. I guess she wanted to go for a more mainstream sound and Paul makes more industrial/grunge/deep house? Idk. I hope she doesn’t work with BloodPop again

DJWS said he is taking a break because of his addiction back then, i forgot when and where he said that. Anyway he is on his way to sober up 🤷🏽‍♂️

The productions of Bloodpop and Burns alone on the album are great house tracks I think the problem is the cluster of DJs on some tracks like SL

KORG

From the unpopular opinions here, I'm guessing alot of people are newer to Gaga than I thought.

The reason songs like Fun Tonight and 911 don't  have these big pop choruses is because they are sonically conveying the feeling expressed in the lyrics.

911 goes nowhere because she's stuck in an endless cycle of self-sabotage. So she sabotages the chorus and makes it very much "back to a steady beat" which is what happens when you take mood correction medication.

Fun tonight... there is no chorus because it wants you to feel the feeling that she feels at that moment. She is projecting fun with the sound of the verse, the build, but then admits she's not having fun, so the song doesn't either.

Goodness.

The hate on Sine from above is all lies.:cryga:
