Way too soon to decide. I don’t think CHROMATICA is in my top 3 though. It took me a while to warm up to Born This Way & ARTPOP and now I love them so much.

Kind of shocked by the amount of people that have Chromatica in their Top 3:selena: I love it, but I definitely prefer all her other albums.

My Holy Trinity:

1. ARTPOP (always and forever:heart:)

2. Joanne

3. Born This Way

I'm shocked too tbh. I put it as my number 1 because alot of the songs remind me of Born This Way and I don't think there's a single filler, but I do skip Sine From Above. :fan:

I can't get enough of Plastic Doll and 1000 Doves. :flutter:

...and I love Fun Tonight, Enigma and Free Woman.

The whole album is just amazing and it makes me feel good when I listen to it. :firega:

Okay, at first listen I was a little upset, because the album did not make me feel satisfied at all. After I've been listening to it a couple of times more, I fell in love :giggle: I think that the concept behind this project is very strong and all the tracks are good ones and well-produced (it is basically her first album where I wouldn't skip any track while listening to it.. and I think that this is also due to the fact that tracks are not too long).

My trilogy Is:

1. The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition, so The Fame + The Fame Monster EP)

2. Chromatica

3. Born This Way (or ARTPOP, idk.. maybe ARTPOP lacks of cohesion.. while BTW is well-structured and better-produced)

Literally, I almost love all the tracks of Chromatica. I would only have deleted Stupid Love (for me it doesn't fit all, and there would have been better choices in the album for the lead single) and maybe Free Woman (i think it's too basic, kinda of "basic pop track".. could have been an Ava Max's song). What do you think? :reductive:

1. Chromatica

I love how dark this album is, despite the house beats, it's more personal

2. BTW

Most interesting pop album from a popstar came that era, and plus some the songs are  rock influenced, I love rockGa

3. ARTPOP

great effort even if the era was a mess, I also love how dark the album is, but in a way that's different than chromatica, I think ARTPOP is more about her relationship with the public

As much as it pains me to have to dismiss Telephone, Poker Face, and Alejandro...

Chromatica, Born This Way, and ARTPOP have all of my other Gaga favorites

Chromatica Is great, but it’s not in my top favorites (yet).

1) Born This Way

2) A Star Is Born

3) Joanne

-

4) Chromatica

5) The Fame Monster

6) Cheek to Cheek

7) ARTPOP

8) The Fame

*I think her “worst” album is fantastic. When looking at her body of work overall, I’m stunned. At this point it’s just personal preference!

**If 1000 Doves wasn’t how it was on the final album, I might have even listed it at, like, number two omg

3 points in and ready for more

I adore Joanne, and TF/M will always be special, but the three albums I connect to most have got to be:

1) ARTPOP: it is objectively her least polished album and it isn't the one I necessarily enjoy listening to the most - but everything about it is just so GAGA, and it captures perfectly the rebellious, untamed artist that lives within her. Gaga could never 'beat' ARTPOP because it is frozen in time, and she will never be *that* person again... which is a good thing, obviously. But the 'messiness' of this era reveals Gaga's chaotic artistry in a way that could never be manufactured ever again - since it is the 'failed manufacturing' of this album that makes it so special.

2) Chromatica: this album is arguably Gaga's most cohesive and tells the 'full' story of her career so clearly and so cleverly, geniusly bringing together themes and sounds from each of her five albums. It is a fantastic depiction of what Lady Gaga has evolved into, after years of fame, pain and emotional growth. It's also got, by far, some of the most personal songs Gaga has ever released. In that sense, it achieves (at least for me) what Joanne maybe didn't... an introspective look at Gaga's life through her own eyes, not through the lens of family. It is probably, all things considered, my favourite Gaga album... but the moment in time that ARTPOP captured will always put it at #1... unless I could have two #1s?

(If I COULD pick two to be number one, my second pick would be Born This Way, which I explain below... and my third pick would be Joanne for how I connect to it personally and how it was such a bold move post-ARTPOP. It does feel wrong not including TF/M in my top picks... but those albums, as objectively brilliant as they are, feel like they belong more to the public than to Gaga and her fans, nowadays at least)

3) Born This Way: I will always admire how, at the peak of her career, Gaga released a record that, back then, was extremely controversial and bold in its messaging. It was such a rebellious and defiant and celebratory move, and could never be matched by any artist again. The songs are fantastic, the style is incredible and, again, it is an album that puts forth the 'blueprint' for who Gaga is an artist - boundary-pushing, introspective and outward all at once. This album, more than any of the others, will be Gaga's legacy.

So, yeah, overall, for anyone who is interested, I guess my revised ranking would be: 1) ARTPOP + Chromatica (which are, interestingly, two sides of the same coin), 2) BTW and 3) Joanne.
