LastNight 5,935
I know it’s disappointing for us as her fans but we just have to respect her decision. At the end of the day it’s not about us or Gaga right now. I keep seeing people saying she should still go and just talk about what’s currently happening in the US, and she could do that, but maybe she doesn’t feel she’s the best person to. Maybe she wants to make space for somebody else she thinks can do a better job. She’s not obliged to have the perfect speech for every crisis; she’s using her platform and privilege in the way she feels is most effective. Maybe it’s none of those things and there’s another reason. We’ll have to wait and see if she addresses it. I also think some of you are really underestimating the mood right now. Yes life goes on elsewhere in the world, but it’s insensitive for her to try and flog her album this week as a white, privileged, American pop star. It’s really as simple as that, whether you like it or not. The music isn’t going anywhere, Gaga is being respectfully quiet at the moment and will pick things back up with her album when she feels it’s appropriate to do so. Enjoy the record in the mean time, it’s barely a week old!

Everybody knows this doesn’t have a chance to start on july. We all know It’s going to be cancelled because of corona and she only waited this time because interscope wanted the tour bundles to being used as boosts for chromatica’s first week sales. Who knows when or if it will be announced new dates. We’ve waited 4 years for a new studio album and she could give us at least something or say something good, she’s still can promote black lives matter at the same time. We all are tired of these 3 minutes short interviews and nothing else. You literally need to calm down, it's no secret that she's not touring this summer so stop saying she's gonna disappoint us like what do u want her to do? Why do you want her to announce new dates now? we dont know when the pandemic is going to end so if she gave new dates she might have to cancel them again. I also want her to promote the album, but this is Lady Gaga we are talking about, she's not gonna be like hey buy my album after the protest and get 10% off. She will promote when everything calms down, she had interviews and chromaticatv planned so chill out I See You
pedrohemg 7,802
She abandoned her work for no reason. I mean, why would someone stop their lives because of the current situation when that's not need to? She already donated money, she let BLM organizations to control her instagram for a few weeks, she closed her store. She've done more than most people. Why pause or even cancel (who knows) the Chromatica era? I'm afraid Interscope won't invest big money in Chromatica anymore. They already did that with SL and she didn't talk about that song more than three times. They again promoted Chromatica all over the world in its release, but again she won't talk about it anymore. It would've been a nice bonus in these dark times though. I personally think it's very important for white people to be included in this, as 100% of the time it's always pocs or black people talking about this isssue. It's a human right issue so everyone should be included
ModernEcstasy 8,998
Why is she pulling out of all these events? She could’ve used these opportunities to address what is going on in the world. They would have been huge platforms. Also, are these people just not going to graduate then?
theahsfan 13,822
How is her pulling out of an unrelated event going to help the Black Lives Matter movement? She's so annoying at times

Oh well. This is hardly surprising anymore. Truth is y'all are mad not because you want her to use a "bigger platform" but because you want Gaga to perform, you wanna see her, for your own little entertaiment. Let's stop the hypocrisy

We already have a #1 song and an upcoming #1 album. She's doing amazing under these circumstances and no promo. I'm sure she will resume the era again when it's time to do it. You can spark interest in an album again with a good new mv or performance. I think it's a smart decision to pull out of this event. Whatever she says will be taken the wrong way. Twitter is never nice to this woman, who has one of the kindest hearts in the world! Mister G 10,419
The degree of selfish behavior on here. Some of ya’ll didn’t care about the graduation ceremonies; you only cared about witnessing Gaga perform something from Chromatica. How unfortunate it must be for some people that anti-racist activists and anti-police brutality activists are inconveniencing some of you folks on here. Americans consider themselves the navel of the world and their problems need to be publicized globally, but when other countries get hurt, America does not lift a finger ;). Exactly. There was a post on IG of an american asking every country/nationality of the world to post about BLM or else they are 'murderers', french, indian, south african, you have to speak about every single american issue all the time, on your social media because??? I understand the movement now is bigger than just the US and is more about racism in general, but asking for other countries to speak on a very specific issue of racism, of a country that was built on it, is just weird. Some people didn't study US history, maybe some are not interested, but it's funny would an american be interested in issues in Brazil? Because there are many. What about the issues in Syria? Did any american ever post something about ebola in the past? Let's take it easy guys, there are so many issues in this world that we all wish we could eradicate trust me
