She’s extending that record (or sort of) of most #1 albums on a row, right?!

she doesn't have the record? you may be thinking of how she was the first female artist of the 2010s with 5 #1 albums that decade. this article points out that Eminem is the first (and i'm assuming only) artist with 10 albums to debut consecutively at #1

edit: oh, it's not that article, it's the wikipedia page for Eminem's last album that mentioned it.

Yay! I'm so proud of her and everybody who worked on the album. I love this album so much and I really needed this in my life right now.

If Chromatica exceeds 300k. :messga:

This is really good given the US political/cultural climate. Biggest debut since 2011!

Possibly a 300k debut during a pandemic, lockdonwn, economical crisis and a massive protest movement, she did THAT :applause:

Great sales, even more than I could've hoped for given the current climate. Will Sour Candy possibly go top ten as well? According to GGD Twitter which I just skimmed over a quick headline from this morning, it's sold 100k so far. I think that's just in the US but I can't be sure.

That is so true. The thing with Chromatica and the singles is that it feels so coherent. It feels very good and just right.

I hope for much more: singles and beautiful videos like with Stupid Love and Rain On Me.

Chromatica is my favourite theme from all Lady Gaga eras. Its perfect 🥰

I absolute agree in terms of the theme, I also feel like its one of her best and the possibilities are so many. We still haven’t seen enough of this sci-fi world that she has created for the album and I want her to put out a few more videos and for the story to start to make sense more.

It's amazing how she's still selling. Seven years ago, after ARTPOP and her fall from grace, I thought she would continue being a more niche artist like Cyndi Lauper or Carly Rae Jepsen. But she's even bigger and better than before. Her voice is better and she's more respected now than when she released the Fame.

Amazing, show stopping.... and you know the rest :enigma:

Gaga’s opening weeks have increased since 2014:

Cheek to Cheek - 131k

Joanne - 201k

A Star Is Born - 231k

Chromatica - 250k+

Makes sense since she's been recovering since her career low of 2013/2014

I think she definitely has grown as an artist and definitely has acclaim and respect to a level she never did before

But she's definitely not bigger. That 2009 to 2011 peak was out of this world. Any original fan can remember how she was literally everywhere

Yeah! Now lets get Kiss 92.5 to stop playing SL so it can make room for ROM

It's getting on my nerves when I check their play history :triggered:

I know, but as an artist, she's achieved so many things so far that it makes her a more important figure now. An actual icon and a soon to be legend.
