Being a fan doesn't mean you have to like everything she does, or pretend that you do. It's fine to not like the album. Personally it's not my favourite of hers but that's ok.

For me it was the other way around. I did not like the things she has done music wise since 2015 up until now, so for me it was a surprise that I love Chromatica so much. Did not expect that anymore. There are so many different things she has done in the past 6 years: Pop, Jazz, Country..I would say it’s probably very rare to be someone who has enjoyed the whole journey. Sorry u don’t like it though.

I feel bad because Gaga is my favorite singer. She put a lot of work into the album and I know she is proud of the work she did. I know that I do not need to love everything she does, but I want to love, or at least like, most of it. No one is forcing me to like it, and I am not forcing myself to like it. I do not understand why I have no connection to it. It makes me sad that I was looking forward to new music I could love. But I do not love any of it. That might change one day. Maybe if I take time off from the album I will hear it again in a new way and it will click with me.

Ohh it's a bummer that it wasn't what you expected but you still have a lot of Gaga material to listen to, from previous albums to remixes to performances and live versions. I do think eventually the album will grow a bit on you and you'll get addicted to at least a few songs. It's good that you brought awareness to it because it's bound to happen to any of us anytime, Gaga is VERY unpredictable musically and at the same time has a wide range of influences, we never know what we're gonna get! I hope you enjoy the next ones

Honey, it means you have depth and don’t just blindly like someone because you’re supposed to. It’s absolutely OK that you don’t connect with this album. I’m glad you gave it many shots, but perhaps the music just isn’t your cup of tea. Alternatively, you might need to grow into it when you have more life experiences that allow you to resonate with the music on a personal level. Either or, being honest with yourself is far more important than anything else!

By the way, I didn’t connect with BTW at first. It took me a long while and now I appreciate/love it. So you never know!

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

Sweetie don't lose sleep over Chromatica  It's absolutely OK to not like it. It took me 7 or 8 years to realise what a masterpiece Born This Way is :billie: I was sunbathing a few years ago and i thought i'd give BTW a little listen as i hadn't heard it for years (I dropped off the stan scene shortly after ARTPOP release as my career took off). Immediately I was feeling different emotions and connections to the vocals and production. BTW became an almost zero skip album for me after 7/8 years!

Let me remind you of Gaga's german tattoo which i'm sure she still stands by today, "Confess to yourself in the deepest hour of the night whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write. Dig deep into your heart, where the answer spreads its roots in your being, and ask yourself solemnly, Must I write?" Gaga will always be writing music, so i have no doubt you'll love your future work :firega:

Edit: Stupid Love brought me back to the stan scene after all these years. So Stupid Love is one of her best songs for me, it's all subjective :flower:

You’re not alone. I like the album but it definitely isn’t my favorite...and that’s okay.

It's okay. I felt the same way about Joanne and its whole album rollout, it just didn't hype me one bit or give me that transcendant sparkly feeling!

Fortunately, later, a few songs grew on me, although I still wouldn't listen to the album start-to-finish like I would all her other albums!

You posted your opinion really respectfully anyways, so good on ya mate.

Well don't feel sorry about it, it's all about taste.

I disliked Joanne but I was still waiting for her to return with something else. And it happened. I absolutely love Chromatica.
