i'd recommend not using a Lady Gaga fan site as your main news source

Cute tongue-in-cheek. Were you not just asking me, someone on a Lady Gaga website, to produce you a dang list of people dying in the riots? Lol.

You can be in your own universe all you’d like, but the fact is it’s happening. As I said in my previous post just before, verbatim, consult multiple news sources (extra emphasis on multiple and not just one) for validity.

This protest looks dumb af. They should protest for peace not for a war. They should make a statement about gun control and Trump. It’s f*king disgusting how so many people are going with the flow and this protest is making more worse than good. I am not racist, I’ve always found ways to battle for tolerance and peace and equality but some things these people do are as shameful and disgusting as that G.Floyd incident

It is sad they will use this for something malicious but let’s not lower her tragedy because of that. Let’s be respectful.

to directly quote in a post i made here "her loss is not lesser...but i'm mad it is going to be manipulated to forward racist forces agenda"
catch the HER LOSS IS NOT LESSER and feel free to go back in the thread if you'd like

Noted, it's been several hours...i'm back...and i still stand by what i said. I'm sorry if it offended you but I genuinely see nothing wrong with what i said and i know my own intentions behind all the posts i've made in this thread, sorry that you're choosing to read negativity in it.

If 10 people are actually quoting you telling you that what you said is wrong then you are clearly wong for some reason. What you said was insensitive.

Not necessarily, it certainly means they took offense with it but what about the people not quoting me or reacting in agreement with my sentiment? Are those people also wrong for not condemning my perspective? Again, this is a discussion thread and everyone is allowed to take whatever they want from my posts because i posted them publicly.............in a discussion thread. Right and wrong is a moral thing and isn't concrete, it's more of a subjective thing. So if you think i'm wrong that's fine and that's your truth but it doesn't mean that that's a universal truth.

MLK kinda needed violent protests to look like the calm and rational one when passing the Civil Rights act under renowned racist Lyndon B Johnson. Rn we have the violence but no clear leaders. This is such a scary time and I think it’s all gonna amount to nothing.

I mean nobody has any solution, nobody has suggested any actionable steps or laws to enact (other than "change laws" without actually stating what law and how), and everybody is cheering violent protests and destroying the businesses of innocent people, while the four police officers who did something wrong have already been arrested and charged.

So we can continue to virtue signal and pretend that violently killing other innocent people is okay because it's in the name of justice.

This just isn't true. For example, people have been calling for a reduction in funding (and demilitarization) of police and the reappropriation of those funds into stimulating black communities. Others are calling for the abolition of the police entirely. Others want change the training programs you're put through in order to become a member of the force. Others want their communities to be policed by people who live in their communities, not suburbanites who don't view the people in poor areas as their equals. These are just a handful of different suggestions I see scrolling my damn twitter feed. You don't need to agree with all ore even any of these, but they're pretty hard to miss if you're actually participating in the conversation.

If you're not seeing anyone propose solutions it's because you're not listening.

So you're saying abolishing the police is a viable plan? :ladyhaha: I was talking about the majority of people, including almost everyone on this forum, who presented no ideas whatsoever. Training and reallocation of funds is fine. I am not a fan of the police.

Again you don't need to agree with all or even any of these proposals, I'm just showing you a bit of whats out there.

I don't know why you expect a thread on a pop music stan site (that was pretty clearly opened just to piss people off) to be awash in ideas for how to solve racist policing, but it's better than cable news I guess so whatever.

But yes, I'd very much like to abolish the police. Realistic? No, but ya don't get real change by coming out the gate already compromised. Most of the civil rights leaders in the 60's were anti-capitalists, the legislation that was passed was a very conservative compromise.

Abolish the police :ladyhaha: Will criminals just go away? :ladyhaha: A true reverse Kindness Punk experience :ladyhaha:
