Do they not know that everyone has a camera in their pocket?

And how are we supposed to trust our public servants after seeing things like this? :rip:

Indefensible.

Probably the effect of authority and superiority. You start to think your invincible because of your badge. And officers not being held accountable on the same level as everyone else only reinforces that

The system is so corrupt it's insane :toofunny:

You could say they were chipping away hazardous glass in the already broken windows but the Second video shows a clearly still intact window that poses no threat, He even looks over his shoulder to make sure nobody's looking. Disgusting!

With killing people, they can use the excuse that he resisted or whatever. But looting stores and breaking it? what excuse can they come up with?

What excuse do they need? Who are we gonna call to report the police?

Well if this is proven that they looted, they can be taken to court as they broke the law. Police is not the only onces inforcing the law. Public opinion including Republicans will effect them.

Seems idealistic. The justice system has failed these people for 300 years, what makes you think this is any different? And republicans literally don't care if white people are committing crimes (unless it effects them personally).

What if this is the protesters posing as policemen to pin the destruction on them? That’s the only reason I can think of for why they’re out in plain sight in uniform knowing there’s cameras everywhere. If the goal is for the police to make it look like somebody else did it, why would they be doing it in uniform knowing even a picture would immediately out them as the culprit?

It would, however, make sense to pose as police officers and do this, because the world will take the simplest route and accept this as proof that they were falsely blaming the looting on the protesters.

I know for sure that there are police officers and white supremacists behind a lot of the violence in these protests and they’ve been somewhat successful in pinning it on the peaceful protestors, but this particular situation looks a bit too picture perfect. I could be wrong though.

When somebody shows you who they are, believe them.

Cops get away with MURDER on camera in America. They operate above and outside of the law. You don’t think that they know that this will be drowned out by a million other things today?

I’m highly skeptical and pretty disappointed that your immediately visceral reaction is to reject what you just saw with your own eyes because it doesn’t make sense to you. This is the reality that black Americans live in everyday — cops getting away with whatever they want, and violence with you challenge their authority even remotely.

Democrats also dont care about crimes unless it effects them personally. They keep praising war criminals like Obama and Pelosi and attack anyone who criticize them. They keep voting for war criminals who are killing the entire world, yet act like their are morally superior because they support Gay rights. They act outraged and shocked when Trump bans 6 Muslim countries, but turn a blind eye when slavery and genocide on Muslims happen.

You aren’t wrong about that but Americans keep voting for it. Whether or not democrats can change, I don’t know. But we do know one side not only won’t change, but will keep committing worse and worse atrocities.

This happens all the time.

It happened in Chile and Mexico.

What's more common is that the police or the government hire people so they start the looting. That way they can justify excessive use of force. It happened last October in Chile, and in Mexico during the feminist march.

Thats just your personal bias, Democrats do the same thing but in a passive aggressive way and secretly. Democrats just voted for the biggest wealth tranfer in human history (the stimulus bill) that will cement the wealth gap forever. This will destroy America for the next decade and will allow corporation to buy you and the whole country. Even "socialist" and "progressives" voted for it which is hilarious. Democrats will tell you they support feminism and Gay rights to shut you up, but then vote for things that actually effect your like like the stimulus bill.

I think both parties work for the same system. Their differences help the one system continue forever. Only changes offered are incremental changes that wont change the system. Trump and his supporters are not the problem, they are a symptom of a larger problem. You will continue living on the hope of change and playing this game thats designed for you till the day you die..

We have police ON TAPE murdering as early as 2014, and they still got away with it. What makes you think that a video camera could ever stop them? They know nothing is ever gonna happen to them.

We've had Rodney King on tape since '91.

Cops don't care.

I’m just so disgusted that it’s hard to believe some things. I know there’s been a lot of people committing violence posing as the opposite side, I’m just not sure how far it goes or how far each side would be willing to go. It’s a deeply passionate time and people will reject morals and inhibitions to achieve the greater good in their mind. I back the protestors all the way. But when you’re in shock at what’s happening, sometimes you just want to believe things aren’t as horrifying as they really are. I’m not sure if I can be faulted for that.

I’ve grown up my whole life with retired policemen in my family, people I know and love, and it’s extremely difficult for me to connect the horrors of police brutality with my perceived innocence of the people I’ve loved throughout my life. When I was young I saw policemen as heroes, I’m a New Yorker and law enforcement in my family ran into the hell of 9/11 to save people’s lives. Being related to the kind of men that do that doesn’t make it a simple task to understand the horrors behind the system they perpetuated. These thought processes are not only my privilege speaking but the way that I was raised. Untraining that sort of upbringing isn’t easy, particularly when you’re surrounded by it for so long.

What I am doing is trying my best to support the protestors and I back their message all the way. If I slip up here and there when it comes to sheer belief at the horrors happening, especially during the most chaotic time for mental illness in modern history, it’s not out of malice or deliberate. It’s  an effort to process what I’ve always been taught vs. what I know to be reality, and when these things contradict each other and align in a time like this, people are going to rationalize stupid things. But if the heart is in the right place and the mistake is owned up to, as well as the individual doing everything in their power not to repeat the mistake, then I believe the mistake doesn’t change anything about the individual’s core values.

This serves as another horror that will increase my hatred for the racist establishments that lead our country even further. That, to me, is the lesson we should all learn from this.
