We do not know the story behind this. All we see are people beating him for an unknown reason. We have seen countless examples of outsides provoking protestors with weapons (such as guns, home made bombs, and now/arrows) I also just checked this news source. Looks like it has a history of fabricating stories for conspiracy: https://www.google.ie/amp/s/mediabiasfactcheck.com/breaking911/%3famp 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

Not by beating a man trying to protect his business and livelihood to near death. There is a clear difference in those who are protesting and rioting in Floyd’s name to make change, as opposed to those who are using this turbulent time to destroy, hurt, and demolish any progress of this movement. You don't even know the context of the story. Either way, this is an outlier. Most protest, even if there's looting involved, haven't been violent (As in people being hurt)

GunninMan 1,406
This whole thread is a mess lmao. It has been proven numerous times at numerous protests that the ones inciting this violence are either outsiders looking to get in on the action and aren’t truly supporting the actual reason for the protest, or the police. None of these protests began violently, that has become obvious. It’s disappointing that these people (mainly white) are taking advantage of the situation, because now it’s going to detract from the real issue. Yes riots have worked in the past for various social issues like LGBTQ rights, women’s rights, etc. but clearly this is not working for the black community. The reason it’s not is because these outsiders flip the perspective and make it look like the people protesting are inciting this violence, when that is clearly not the case. The media doesn’t show this side, they just report the destruction without going into detail, so it fuels the fire that is continuing to divide the nation. There are several videos where it can be seen that the real protestors are trying to stop the destruction and violence. It’s really upsetting to see how this is unfolding because nothing is going to get done and nothing is going to change. We need to figure out another way. And even if this is an outlier, when you end up having outlier after outlier, it begins to add up. I’m just saying, beating a man down to bloody pulp with severe life threatening injury doesn’t solve any issue here, and is counterproductive to what this movement should even be about. gumzy3000 7,898
I'm not black but the black community needs a strong black leader to stop the lootings, violence and burning of buildings. I understand its not only black people doing these things but just looking at it from the numerous videos I have seen online, most of the looters and violence is from black people. I understand they are upset, but what right do they have to attack someone or loot a business for their cause. I support the BLM 100% but it is hard to convince people to join it when this stuff happens and they do not condemn it. trolly troll troll

First of all, that first sentence explains everything why you shouldn’t even comment on this issue. Don’t be against it if you don’t know what they are going through. If you want to support the BLM movement, you need to realize police and outsiders were the ones who started the very first riots. A Minneapolis police officer was the first person to vandalize a building that sparked the riots. Outsiders have also been witnessed with weapons at these protests, even running people over. Lastly, in terms of the video and topic at hand.. we still don’t know the backstory. I did some research on this news publisher and it looks like they have a history of twisting/fabricating stories (explains why they only share when the beating starts) Please support our comrades who are losing their lives due to police violence ❤️ 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

I was called a **** by a classmate in a group chat last night because I had the audacity to suggest that stealing things, smashing windows, and lighting cars on fire doesn’t advance the cause of justice for George Floyd. I support peaceful protest, and this Floyd incident needs to be investigated as thoroughly as possible, and everyone should be charged, because based on that video evidence they are all guilty to different degrees, but that doesn’t make it okay to reduce neighborhoods to rubble. TL;DR: Peaceful protest= Good Violence and looting= Bad Don't Call Me Gaga
