The scores may seem a little harsh to some monsters but I kinda understand the general sentiment.

There are so many great ideas and references in the album, but very little is particularly fleshed out, I’m always left wanting more or wanting her to go further.

I hear Gaga wanting to go somewhere on every song but the song lengths or the want to keep the songs trendy kinda limits her a bit.

Where did I say that?. I’m saying that some people are not gonna like the album, there are valid reasons why they might not, and 5/10 is not a horrible score, she’s gotten worse.

Overall yeah. I would’ve probably given it in the 2-2.5 star range... so I don’t find 2.5 stars to be ridiculous at all. Just my opinion though... apparently the GGD echo chamber loves it, and I’m happy for them

It may not be your taste but it is inspired, cohesive and has lots of great pop songs and even bits of experimentation. It is inspired by certain decades and genres but at the same time it's a great body of work.
