I don’t agree with looting.

But yes, please protest. Let them know their murder will not go unpunished.

Lemme just say that lets not let looters control the conversation around BLM AGAIN. Criminals have used protests to steal since the beginning of time, let’s make it click please.

I hate when people take advantage of moments like these to LOOT. That said I am BEYOND happy with those protesting and even causing a bit of chaos! The government needs to do something! society needs to be shaken up a bit before real change ever occures! nothing changes in comfort! keep rioting for justice! I am very proud

For the life of my how does looting a store help anyone’s case

It doesn’t, people just use things as an excuse to do wrong themselves

Looters kind of steal the limelight and discredit the protests (even though that shouldn't be the way it works). Sad.

i agree partially. looting does discredit a cause and make a lot of people on the outside view the cause negatively.

but they aren't looking for empathy, they're looking for justice. the one thing you don't have is empathy

Looting is just a sidecar that people will use to discredit the legitimate disgust and frustrations that his murder has caused.

Using a man's death as an excuse to raid stores to get the TV you've been wanting... :madge:

Bypassing the looting narrative, let's talk about how heavily militarized police force was used against protesters, when there was no such force used during those "liberty protests" that took place inside government buildings not even a month ago.

Let's talk about that.

Police brutality against People of Color, especially Black people, has always been heightened. But the horrific back-to-back publicized cases these last few weeks have gotten me, and so many other people, highly emotional and reactive.

The scariest part is that these videos could have easily not existed.

People are mad, and they should be.

This.

I would also like people to know that a black man was killed by police in Indianapolis two weeks ago. The protests were small in comparison to this, there was no looting or violence, and yet the cops still used violence and pepper spray bullets on the protestors. I have no idea why it didn't make national news. I had friends there.
