I understand it will count as 73 but because different publications have different weights, there are times a lower-than-current average score added to the current average may actually pull it up instead of pulling it down. It's not a simple average and I was hoping this 73 vs Chromatica's 81 would be one of those times--or at least it doesn't pull it down too much.
