I think Lana has made a mistake and she's been very heavy handed with it all and when it's been misunderstood (?) or not taken the way she hoped it seems like her further responses have only made thing worse...

If her main point was that horrible things happen to women and those stories need to be told, I get that. It's a horrible topic and yeah it shouldn't be glamorised but also these experiences happen and people will tell difficult stories based of their experiences. Idk, I think people who have experienced stuff like this have a right to express their experiences through their art if they want to, that's up to them I guess. 

Have I misunderstood or was that what Lana was getting at? It's a shame she went about it in such a strange way though that's lead to further confusion and heavy handedness though. I do believe she chose those women because she's friends with them but to us and anyone who reads without knowing that, she surely has to get how that would come across?

I support every word Lana said, and I don’t care for all the racist claims and opposition. In this day and age, all you have to do to disregard someone’s word without a good counter argument is to make it about race and then cry victimhood.
